螺旋形과 그 表現에 관한 硏究

국문 초록 (Abstract)

원자의 활동에서 우주의 운동에 이르기까지 자연의 모든 요소들은 끊임없이 살아 움직이며 영원한 상호관계의 흐름속에 있다. 이것은 점차 강하게 또는 약하게 강조되는 動的인 螺旋形態의 연속된 흐름으로 상징될 수 있다. 영원에의 憧憬은 인간의 본성이다. 恒常的인 曲線이며 무한한 巡還으로서의 螺旋形은 同一한 恒常的·週期的 回歸로서의 동양적인 시간개념을 상징화하는데 적합하다.
本 硏究의 目的은 자연의 생명현상이 보여주는 生命力, 力動性, 無限性을 螺旋形態로 표현하고, 표현된 작품의 시각적 특성을 분석하는데 있다.
本 硏究의 內容은 자연에서 螺旋形이. 갖는 의의와 그 의미를 검토한 후, 자연의 생명들이 보여주는 生命力, 力動性, 無限性을 螺旋形態로 표현하였고, 조형적인 관점에 따라 분석하였다.
本 硏究의 方法은 문헌연구와 작품제작 및 분석을 병행하였으며, 분석 대상은 석조 3점, 목조 2점, 금속조 2점으로 총7점이고 作品을 시각적으로 분석하였다.
本 硏究의 結果를 종합하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 성장하고 발전, 순환하는 자연의 이미지는 부피가 漸移되는 원통형 양괴의 螺旋形態로 표현되었다.
둘째, 탄생·성숙·노쇠·소멸등 자연이 보여주는 生命力은 각 양괴의 크기와 운동방향이 변화있는 螺旋運動으로 표현되었다.
세째, 자연의 生命力있는 실체가 갖는 力動性은 양괴가 복합된 螺旋形態로 표현되었다.
네째, 자연의 無限空間에 대한 추구는 복합된 양괴의 확산된 運動으로 표현되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

From the activity of an atom to the movement of universe, every elements of universe are in motion and exist in the flux of eternal interaction. It can be symbolized by a continuous stream of dynamic spiral sometimes faintly, sometimes deeply emphasized.
Man aspires the eternity by nature. The spiral which circulates and rotates throughout the infinite serves one's purpose to symbolize the oriental concept of time aknowledged as the identical, usual, and periodical regression.
This thesis aims at expressing the vitality, dynamics, and infinity of breathing phenomena in nature into the spiral through the works, and analyzing their visual characteristics.
The content of this thesis is to explore the significance and the meaning of spiral in nature, to express vitality, dynamics, and infinity of natural objects into the spiral, and to analyze it according to the formative point of view.
The method of the thesis is a coordination of documental studies, production of 7 works and visual analysis of them.
The results of the thesis could be summerized as follows:
First, the image of nature-growing, developing, and circulating-is expressed into the spiral by the cylindrical masses of which the volume is gradated.
Second, the vitality of nature-birth, maturing, aging, and fading-is expressed into the spiral characterized as variety in the size of mass and in the direction of movement.
Third, the dynamic of a vivid substance of nature is expressed into the mass-complexed spiral.
Fourth, the pursuit of nature for the infinite space is expressed into the expanded movement by the complexed masses.
