Nowadays' enterprises are facing an era of consumer-oriented production which will result in a phenomenon of the diversificatin of goods for the increase of the consumer's disposable incomes as well as the increase of their leisure. Accordingly, no exception is expected even in the service-industry field including travel business, which is now facing an era when the consumer's desire should be considered in a way of subdivision. In response to that, the fundamental issue of travel business becomes the development of tourist-oriented package tours which will satisfy the tourist's desire so that it should meet the diversification of the tourist's demand and their traveling level.
With that point of view, the present study intended to grasp some influencing factors to the tourist's choice of a package tour based on their choice behavior in the light of consumer behavior, and then base on that, to search for any good plan for the development of outbound package tours.
For the data utlized in the present study, some questionnaires were majorly relied on as well as the inspection through interview which were much helpful. The contents of the questionnaires included 29 questioning items in consideration of demographic characteristics, and socio-cultural and individual mental factors.

In the testing of the difference with regard to the price of package tour according to socio-culturally influencing factors in Null Hypothesis X, tour experience and the method to supply tour expenses effected a significant difference.

In the testing of the difference with regard to the type of tour according to socio-culturally influencing factors in Null, Hypothesis XII, the partner of tour effected a significant difference.
For the plans of the development of package tours according to the tourist's choice behavior of outbound package tours, based on the influencing factors appeared in the result of analysis, the following are suggested ; first, a plan of the development of outbound package tours according to the diversification of the form of the demand of tourism, second, a plan of the development of outbound package tours based on the users package tours reflected by the characteristics of age, sex, and composition of a family unit, and third, a plan of the differentiation of the price of outbound package tours through both development of high-priced outbound package tours and low-priced outbound package tour, etc..
However, the present study has some limitations as follows:
First, since the review of the data from the questionnaires was done only with tourists in a spring season from April 1 to April 15, no consideration of the characteristics according to all seasons.
Second, in the stage of positive analysis in Chapter 4, for the limitaion of the subjects of inspection, only the tourists who had chosen the outbound package tours of a specific travel agency were reviewed.
Third, in the stage of positive analysis in Chapter 4, as for the limitaion of the choice of variables, only limited variables were viewed even though there will be many variables that influence significantly the tourist's choice of a package tour.
Therefore, in the light of the limitation of the present study for short-sighted variables, it is suggested that in the further studies on the subject of the present study, more situational variables which are considered to influence significantly should be reviewed.
