李周洪 硏究 : 創作童話와 少年小說을 中心으로 = (A) Study of Lee Zoo-Hong : Centered on the works of the juvenile literature

국문 초록 (Abstract)

商破 李周洪은 1920년대 후반부터 1980년대 중반까지 60여년 동안 아동문학뿐 아니라 시, 소설, 수필, 희곡, 그림 등 예술 전반에서 뛰어난 재능을 발휘하였던 작가이다.
특히 그는 韓國現代兒童文學이 藝術性을 지나치게 치중하는 데서 빚어진 難解性과 재미와 感動의 부족으로 讀者들로부터 외면당하는 약점을 諷刺, 機智, 譜讀의 독특한 수법과 뚜렷한 現實認識으로 극복하고 兒童文學의 大衆化를 위해 노력한 대표적인 兒童文學家라는 점에서 주목 할 만하다.
本稿는 李周洪의 兒童文學의 本質을 규명해 보려는 시도의 하나로써 그의 創作童話를 중심으로 동화속에 투영된 作家意識과 童話의 特性을 考察해 보았다.
本稿의 內容을 要約하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 그의 작품속에 나타난 作家意識은 철저한 現實批判과 소외층에 대한 애정이 그 基調를 이루고 있다. 初期 作品은 민족의 식민지 상황과 농촌의 궁핍한 생활상을 날카롭게 비판함으로써 작자로서의 時代精神을 구현하고 있으며, 이러한 정신은 全作品을 통해 社會的 矛盾과 問題點 등을 告發, 批判하는 풍자정신으로 이어지고 있다. 또한 主體的이고 진솔하게 살아가는 소외층인 庶民들을 애정으로 그림으로써 그의 서민지향의 서민의식을 엿볼 수 있으며 讀者들에게 재미와 웃음을 주는 笑劇的인 方法은 그의 童話를 독자에게 접근시키는 중요한 요소가 되고 있다.
둘째, 그는 다양한 構造를 통하여 동화의 構成美를 실현하려 하였다. 喪失과 回復의 構造를 통해서 인간의 運命意識에 충실하면서 자신의 運命에 積極的으로 도전할 줄 아는 人物을 그렸으며 가치 변환을 가져오는 계기로 자연스런 꿈의 형식을 사용함으로써 訓敎調 童話의 틀을 벗어나고 있다. 또한 强者와 弱者의 對立構造에서는 항상 약자의 승리로 이끄는 前後輕重의 構造를 취하고 있다.
셋째, 그의 文體는 그의 동화에서 讀者牽引力을 발휘하는 중요한 요소로 독자에게 즐거움을 주고 있다. 독자들을 편안한 분위기로 이끄는 說話體 文章과 生動感 있는 對話처리로 활력 있는 이야기의 進行을 가져오는 戱曲體 文章, 그리고 실감을 더해주는 簡潔한 文體는 그의 童話에서 독자를 유인하는 구실을 하고 있으며 音象徵語와 사투리사용은 해학적인 분위기를 일층 더 고조시키는 구실로 작용하고 있다.
이렇게 李周洪은 뚜렷한 現實認識을 바탕으로 否定的 現實을 극복하고 理想世界로 나아가려는 意志를 실현하고 있으며 풍자, 기지해학의 독특한 수법과 다양한 구조 그리고 讀者牽引力을 발휘하는 文體를 사용함으로 大衆的인 兒童文學을 志向하고 있다. 이러한 그의 童話는 藝術性과 興味性 (재미성)의 均衡과 調和를 보여준 본보기로써 韓國兒童文學史에 뚜렷한 性格의 하나로 남는다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Lee Zoo-Hong is one of the Korean writer, who gives full play swing to his genius the whole field of art which writes juvenile literture, the poetry , the novel, the essay and even the painting.
He has been worked for about 60 years from the latter half of 1920's to the middle of 1980's.
He made great acceunt of the popular juvenile literary written with the satine, the wit and the jest. thereby made the tales easy and joyful.
It is valuable to compare1 his works with the Korean current juvenile literary which is difficult to understand and have no interests because it attach importance to art itself.
However, study and analysis of his works have done only a little and that is not enough compaired with his weight in the Korean literary.
In this manuscript, I try to analysis his remarkable sprit as a juvenile writer and characteristics appearing in his fairy tales.
Ⅰ. His consciousness of writer was based on a potent realities of life and love toward to alienation class of society the early works sharply criticized colonial conditions of a nation and the needy life of rural communites, the middle works satirizely criticized social inconsistency and problemes and he intentioned ideal world get by negotion of reality.
He expressed intelligible consciousness of commonality that he shows lovely the commonality who live trully and subjectly, it is form on important factor of the popular juvenile literary which gives readers by ignorance and foolishness.
Ⅱ. He realized the beauty of conposition by using various structure he depicted the charactors who challenged their furture using the structure of loss and restoration : he escape from the adnomishing tales using the form of dream that give the chance of value transformation, he used sturcture that the opposition of the strong and the weak always triumph the weak, by this attitude, he shows tendency that he love aliemation class of society.
Ⅲ. He used the dialogic,dramatic and symple styles which entire the readers,and the phonetic symbolical word and the dialect serve as vivify his humorous stories.
Lee Zoo-Hong had concrete opinion to the juvenile literature ; the tales must give the preasure and the interest to children he covered vast range of stories on his work with the features of realistic world and used various techniques of literary.
