주부의 자아실현성과 의사결정유형 및 결혼만족도에 관한 연구 = (A) Study on the Housewives' Self-Actualization, Decision-Making Style and Marital Satisfaction

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship of housewives'self factualization, decision-making and marital satisfaction, so that the findings may offer then fundamental materials for the more reasonable home management.
The research questions of study are as follows :
(1) What is the background variables influencing on the housewives' self-actualization, decision-making style and marital satisfaction?
(2) How is decision-making style and marital satisfaction affect on the housewives' self-actualization?
(3) How is the marital satisfaction affect on decision-making style?
(4) What relationship exist in among the housewives' self-actualization, decision-making style and marital satisfaction?
For the purpose of this study, 722 questionnaire were distribute to the housewives living in pusan.
Statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, t-test, one way-ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, Pearson's correlation.
All the analyses were done by SPSS PC^(+) program.
The major findings can be summarized as follows:
(1) According to the background variables there were some difference among the Housewives' self-actualization, decision-making, marital satisfaction.
(2) Decision-Raking style and marital satisfaction differs significantly according to the degrees of housewives' self-actualization. The higher level of housewives' self-actualization, the higher degree of marital joint decision-making and marital satisfaction.
(3) Marital satisfaction differs significantly according to the decision-making style, for subfield were clothes, food, house, economy, family, rest field.
(4) After analyzing the correlation of the housewives' self-actualization, decision-making and marital satisfaction, it showed positive correlation.
Therefore the higher level of housewives' self-actualization, the higher degree of wife-oriented decision-making style, joint decision-making style and marital satisfaction.
The result of this study implies that housewives' self-actualization is necessary in order to carry on happy home management and the reasonable home administration.
In addition, the change of social perception, husband's value and housewives' attitude are required to improve housewives' self-actualization, joint participation in decision-making and marital satisfaction.
