The Gyeongju Oreung is the tomb of the Park kings in the early Silla period and is located at the southern end of the Gyeongju Basin, which is the northwest of Namsan Mountain, where the period of the Silla Dynasty is located. It is composed of four Bongto tombs and one circular tomb, and it is said that King Park Hyukgeose, his wife, Queen Alyeong, the second king of Namhae, the third king of Yuri, and the fifth king of Pasa are buried. This is based on the record that the four kings were engaged in business in Sareungwon, north of Damumsa Temple, in 『Samguksagi』 and that when King Park Hyukgeose ascended to heaven and fell to the ground in 『Samgukyusa』, they were sold and became Oreung. Considering that the construction period of Oreung was in the early Silla period, it can be seen that there was a period of self-contained feng shui that was only used in Korea before the introduction of the theoretical feng shui that was popular in China. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate whether Oreung is located in a feng shui great site and to find out which of the five tombs in the region of Reungs is located in the best Hyulcheo. The research method focused on identifying facts by actively utilizing the Dowsing method for areas that are difficult to analyze because the naturalization cannot be confirmed due to the man-made, such as development or reclamation, based on the theoretical background of Giri-Ogyeul. First, as a result of diagnosing the site using the Dowsing method to confirm that the Gyeongju Oreung is a Hyulcheo, the main Ryongmaek from the Dodang Mountain, Hyeonmubong to the Hyuljang of the Gyeongju Oreung, creating a very wide Hyuljang, and it turned out that the earth energy was very active. In addition, the main Ryongmaek, which stretched from the Dodang Mountain, Hyeonmubong to the Gyeongju Oreung, was also a Giryong of Imgwanryong when viewed through the Twelve Potae -method. The Gyeongju Oreung is a place with a strong earth energy as it is built in Yongjincheo, where the main Ryongmaek stopped walking while bending with Jihyeon. And the Gyeongju Oreung is a relatively safe place from water invasion because it is located in a convex part in the middle of a very wide Wahyeong-Hyuljang. However, when looking at the site, it was difficult to judge the authenticity of the factors corresponding to the Hyuljeung, as they remained faint. In order to investigate this, the diagnosis was made by actively using the Dowsing method. As a result, it was possible to draw the conclusion that the Gyeongju Oreung was created in a very wide Wahyeong-Hyuljang. In addition, it was necessary to determine which of the five reungs in the Gyeongju Oreung was the true Hyul, and as a result of the diagnosis using the Dowsing method, it was concluded that the Ipsumaek was connected to the “Ⓐ reung”. However, if “Ⓐ reung” is a true Hyulcheo, there should be a Chungryong and a Baekho who followed the main Ryongmaek to the Hyulcheo. Now, there is no Sasinsa in the Gyeongju Oreung. If you have Hyuljeung and have a true Hyul, it is not known when the existence of it disappeared, but it was judged that there was a Sasinsa in the past Silla period. From this point of view, it was hypothesized that the Sasinsa was eliminated due to the man-made and diagnosed the section between Hyeonmubong and the Gyeongju Oreung using the Dowsing method. Based on the results, it was possible to implement the Sasinsa that existed in the Silla Dynasty in the past. In addition, several old maps held in the Gyujanggak were investigated to see if there was any data that could support this result. Among those materials, the existence of a Sasinsa was found in 『Haedongjido』 published in the Yeongjo- Dynasty of Joseon. Therefore, it was confirmed that there was a Sasinsa in the Gyeongju Oreung, in the past during the Silla period, as the results of diagnosis using the Dowsing method were consistent with the old map. Judging from the above results, it is believed that the Gyeongju Oreung in the past during the Silla Dynasty was clearly inferior to Myeongdang. However, it is difficult to say that the Gyeongju Oreung is a Myeongdang because there is no Sasinsa and the Hyuljeung of Hyuljang is not clear. Currently, Reungyeok is a flatland that has left the mountainous area, so as a treasure for Jangpung, a pine forest was built around the Hyuljang instead of the Sasinsa, and soil and stone walls and waterways were installed in all directions, but the effect is believed to be insufficient. However, the Gyeongju Oreung is located in the Yongjincheo, so it is considered to have a strong earth energy. In the water momentum of the Gyeongju Oreung, Namcheon Stream flowing from the Toham Mountain in the east flows north of the Gyeongju Oreung and joins the Hyeongsan River, the mainstream of Gyeongju. And although there is some distance to the south, the small stream flowing from the Geumgang Reservoir in the west of Namsan flows to the west and joins the Hyeongsan River. These two streams surround the Gyeongju Oreung to the north and south, joining the Hyeongsan River, so the earth energy of the Gyeongju Oreung is somewhat finishing off. However, it is somewhat problematic as the Namcheon Stream flowing north cannot surround the Hyuljang and flows while the Baeju to take away the vitality of Hyuljang. In conclusion, the Gyeongju Oreung was a Myeongdang with Jangpoongguk with a strong Sasinsa in the past Silla period, and it was inferior to the spiritual pillar of the Silla people who supported the history of the Silla-millennium. However, after a long period of time, there is no Sasinsa around the Hyuljang, only Hyuljeungs remain faint, and the support of Jangpung function is insufficient and the momentum of water is insufficient, making it difficult to maintain its status as a Myeongdang. In order to supplement this, I think it is necessary to devise a more active support plan and take action. Finally, the conclusions drawn in this study are difficult to understand for feng shui people who do not know the Dowsing method and rely solely on theory, so there may be room for questioning or controversy. However, rather than unnecessary controversy, if there is a feng shui people who can accurately judge the results by using the Dowsing method, please draw a better conclusion.
