This study explores the complementary relationship between Jimunhak (the study of fingerprint patterns) and Sipseong (十星) in Saju Myungrihak, utilizing the theory of multiple intelligences to analyze diverse personality types and career aptitudes. The primary objective is to propose career paths and aptitudes that align with individual characteristics. Choosing a career that matches one's natural aptitude is essential for a successful and fulfilling life. Therefore, leveraging innate potential to determine suitable career directions begins with an understanding of inherent temperament and tendencies. Fingerprints can be categorized into three primary patterns: Ho-hyeongmun, Gi-hyeongmun, and Du-hyeongmun. Ho-hyeongmun is associated with normative, consistent types or strategic, prepared types; Gi-hyeongmun corresponds to romantic, emotional types or original, creative types; and Du-hyeongmun is linked to challenging, proactive types, pragmatic, achievement-oriented types, or sociable, cooperative types. Genetic research indicates that fingerprint ridges and patterns are determined by DNA, forming around the 13th week of fetal development and fully developing by the 19th week, remaining unchanged throughout life. This distinctiveness of fingerprints not only facilitates the identification of innate temperaments and tendencies but also serves as a primary tool for personal identification. Jimunhak also incorporates Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, as this theory suggests that humans possess diverse innate intelligences, making it possible to analyze tendencies based on different types of aptitudes. Myungrihak interprets the Yin-Yang and Five Elements derived from the eight characters of an individual's birth year, month, day, and hour. This system offers insights into personality, behavior, health, and career. In the interpretation of Myungrihak, Sipseong plays a central role as a framework for understanding relationships between the self and external factors, helping to analyze various characteristics, such as familial, social, and psychological dynamics. Therefore, analyzing the relationship between fingerprints and Sipseong, as a method of exploring psychological traits and essence, serves as a valuable interpretive tool for identifying career paths and aptitudes. It is hoped that this research will assist individuals in making informed career and professional choices by analyzing their temperaments, tendencies, and aptitudes.
