Saju Myeongrihak is a discipline that can suggest how to lead an optimal life by analyzing and predicting the fateful elements (birth year, month, date, and time) that each human being has received from heaven as to whether they can take blessings, wealth, and honor in human life.
In modern myeongrihak, the form of Saju founded by Seo Jiaping (907-960) of the North Song dynasty of China is established as the month and date time of the year, and the mainstream is Japyeong Myeongrihak, which analyzes Saju with a focus on the day of one’s birth.
Japyeong Myeongrihak is a method of predicting fate by determining a person's rank through the month of birth in Saju and determining an entity to help it.
This paper studied an interpretation system that can predict fate by transforming the organic relationship between the O-heng into human life by applying the Mulsang concept of the O-heng without determining the pattern through the month born in the Saju interpretation system or the objects that help it.
After deeply studying and defining the Mulsang meaning of the O-heng, the relationship between the visible and invisible movements in the Saju can be assumed in terms of metaphysics and antimetaphysics, and the results of the apparent phenomena and the internal changes can be interpreted and explained using a Mulsang theory system.
The meaning of a Mulsang argued in this paper is not limited to a simple morphological expression, such as assuming that a Gapmok is a large tree.
The phenomenon of the form of change and the power of action that appears to obtain what the Gapmok wants by understanding the properties that the Gapmok possesses is called ‘Mul-sang’. The same applies to changes in not only the heavenly stems but also the earthly branches. If we view the heavenly stems as revealed phenomena, then the earthly branches can be viewed as the change the action that can realize the revealed phenomena. The overall phenomenon of these celestial stems and supporters interacting and changing to achieve what they want can be defined as ‘Mulsang’.
The term 'Suksaljigi' means the energy that kills all things. It refers to the autumn season when plants and trees dry up and die. In the O-heng, it is represented by the energy of metal.

If we reinterpret the meaning of the term ‘Suksaljigi’ in modern human society, it can be broadly divided into several categories. First, it can refer to acts or occupations that deal with human life, positions that have the authority to restrict human social and economic activities, and acts that can harm human dignity. Representative occupations of these ‘Suksaljigi’ of people include doctors, soldiers, police officers, judges, prosecutors, and business owners. Among these, the profession that most frequently carries out and acts in daily life ‘Suksaljigi’ is that of a doctor, who deals with human lives. By interpreting the actual fortunes of these doctors, we can explain what commonalities they have in their fortunes and the influence of the O-heng in their fortunes that enable them to become doctors.
The main core of the mulsang interpretation method lies in the principles of mutual generation and mutual inhibition and harmony and conflict between the O-heng of the Saju. There is no schematic formula or calculation here. It is just a matter of understanding the characteristics of the interaction between the Heavenly Stems and the Earthly Branches, and flexible thinking and an expansiveness of thought are needed to understand what meaning or purpose they have and how they change.
