A Study on the Characteristics of Billionaires’ Four Pillars : Focused on Athletes, Entrepreneurs, and Scholars|RISS 상세보기

This study is focused on the billionaires who succeeded professionally and achieved wealth and honor and are known worldwide, by analyzing their Four Pillars to find out how to become rich. In the process, the effectiveness of the Wealth and the Useful God will be confirmed and the Occupational Aptituce, conducted in many modern studies, will be compared.
In the Four Pillars of Destiny, the most important thing to analyze is the Useful God. The Useful God is the key to balancing the Four Pillars to determine success and failure. There are traditional methods of analyzing the Useful God, such as the theory of Support or Restrain, Adjust, and Structure and there is the Occupational Aptituce which is being studied in the modern era.
In Support or Restrain theory, the Useful God is determined by the strength of the Day Master. In Adjust theory, the Useful God is determined by the birth month and uses the Energy to form all things according to the season. In Structure theory, the Structure is decided by the birth month which is the use and frame of the Four Pillars, and the Energy helping the structure to be properly expressed is used as the Useful God. The Occupational Aptituce theory uses the energy revealing the professionality expressed in the individual’s Four Pillars as the Useful God.
Based on existing research, the Occupational Aptituce theory will play a more important role than the theory of Support or Restrain, Adjust, or Structure in order to succeed in modern society. This study aims to present the criteria for determining the Useful God by identifying the Four Pillars of Billionaires who have actually succeeded professionally and become rich.
An in-depth analysis of the Occupational Aptituce theory was conducted by classifying Ten Gods into five occupational groups that were not classified as Direct or Indirect. Specifically, (1) sports stars were assigned to Companion Star, which means active and adventurous type, (2) researchers, IT entrepreneurs to Output Star, which means inventor type, (3) manufacturers to Wealth Star, which means businessman and designer type, (4) Inheritor to Influence Star, which means politician and public official type, and (5) Professor to Resource Star, which means literature and educator type.
The purpose of this paper is as follows.
1) Identify the existence and strength of the Wealth Star in the Four Pillars and confirm the significance of the Wealth Star
2) Check the effectiveness of the Useful God of Support or Restrain, Bazi Structure, and Adjust.
3) Compare and analyze the flow of Luck Cycles in the period of success and confirm the validity of the Occupational Aptituce theory.
4) When analyzing foreigners’ Four Pillars, the criteria for the analysis of their Four Pillars for the adjustment of time and season that are questioned are identified.
The research results of this paper are summarized as follows.
1) Looking at the Wealth Star in the Four Pillars, most Four Pillars have the Wealth Star, and the Energy of the Wealth Star is strong due to good Vitalization or Combination.
2) If the Four Pillars do not have the Wealth Star, the Wealth Star comes into the Luck Cycles.
3) The Support or Restrain is judged to be effective because most of the time, the Day Master is strong. If the Day Master is weak it is rooted or Resource and Companion Stars come into the Luck Cycle to make it strong.
4) In most cases, the Structure becomes a Make Structure, but it is not directly related to the job. It means they can be well supported by parents.
5) The Adjust doesn’t have much influence on success.
6) At the age of their prime according to their jobs (athletes and IT entrepreneurs are in their teens and 20s, heirs and professors are in their 20s∼40s), the Occupational Aptituce Useful God enters the Luck Cycle. It also can be interpreted that Energy entering early age as Luck Cycles has an important influence on career decisions.
7) If they have strong Energy in their Four Pillars, they use that Energy in their Profession.
8) Even though the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches of the Luck Cycle are opposite, the Stems and Branches have the same influence.
9) When analyzing foreigners’ Four Pillars, counselors should use the time of the region where they were born, and seasons should be based on the northern hemisphere.

In the past, the family was more important than the individual. In the Four Pillars, the Structure means family, and the Make or break of the Structure which is decided by the Useful God has an important meaning. In modern times, people can decide on their own course and can make a fortune by their choice. This is the reason for the distinct emphasis on Occupational Aptituce following the development of individualism.
But there are so many different jobs, and if there are too many roads, you get lost. It is not easy to find a career path that suits you. Recently, many studies have been conducted on the relationship between individual occupational groups and the Four Pillars of Destiny, and on occupational classification through the Occupational Aptituce of the Four Pillars of Destiny. But each study has only studied one field, and an integrated study has not been conducted.
This paper aims to provide a basis for demonstrating the effectiveness of the Wealth Star and the Occupational Aptituce Useful God by applying the existing research results in an integrated manner. Finally, more research should be followed so that continuous and practical research on the vocational field of the Four Pillars of Destiny can lead to consistent, objective, and scientific research.

본 연구는 직업적으로 큰 성공을 통해 부와 명예를 이루어 많은 이들이 관심을 갖고 세계적으로 잘 알려진 부자들의 사주를 명리학적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 그 과정에서 명리학의 재성과 고전 명리학의 용신이 개인 삶의 방향에 미치는 유효성을 확인하고 과거에 비해 개인주의가 월등히 발달함에 따라 현대에 많은 연구가 이루어지는 직업적성론의 실효성을 규명하고자 한다.
명리학에서 사주를 파악하는 데 가장 중요한 것은 용신이다. 용신은 사주의 균형을 맞추고 성공과 실패를 좌우하는 열쇠이다. 용신을 구하는 방법에는 전통 방식인 억부론, 격국론, 조후론이 있고 현대에 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있는 직업적성론이 있다.
억부론은 일간의 신강과 신약에 따라 일간이 쓸 수 있는 용신이 결정되는 이론이다. 격국론은 월지에 의해 사주의 쓰임새와 틀에 해당하는 격이 결정되고 격이 제대로 발현되도록 돕는 역할을 하는 기운을 용신으로 쓴다. 조후론은 태어난 월, 즉 계절에 맞게 만물을 형성하기 위한 기운을 용신으로 쓴다. 그에 반해 직업 적성론은 개인의 타고난 사주에서 체질적으로 발현되는 소질이나 재능을 말하는 것으로 사주 명리와 직업적성과의 개연성을 밝혀 직업에 필요한 기운을 용신으로 쓴다.
본 연구는 현대 사회에서는 억부론(抑扶論), 격국론(格局論), 조후론(調候論) 보다는 직업적성론이 직업 선택에 더 중요한 역할을 할 것이라는 기존 연구를 바탕으로 실제 직업적으로 성공하여 세계적인 부자가 된 사례자들의 사주를 억부론, 격국론, 조후론과 명리학의 직업적성과 성공의 관계를 비교함으로써 용신(用神)을 정하는 기준을 제시하고, 재성(財星)이 부의 축적에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 한다. 이를 위해 십성(十星)을 정, 편으로 분류하지 않은 5개의 직업군으로 분류하여 직업적성론에 대한 보다 깊이 있는 분석을 진행하였다. 구체적으로는 (1) 운동가와 모험가 타입을 뜻하는 비겁(比刦)에 스포츠 스타를, (2) 연구가, 발명가 타입을 뜻하는 식상(食傷)에 IT 기업가를, (3) 사업가, 설계가 타입을 뜻하는 재성(財星)에 제조업을, (4) 정치가, 공직자 타입을 뜻하는 관성(官星)에 상속인을, (5) 문학가, 교육가 타입를 뜻하는 인성(印星)에 교수를 배정하고 각 그룹별 사주의 특성을 분석하고자 하였다.
본 논문의 목적은 다음과 같다.
1) 사주에서 재성(財星)의 유무와 강약을 파악하여 재성이 갖는 의미를 확인한다.
2) 억부(抑扶), 조후(調候), 격국(格局) 용신의 유효성을 확인한다.
3) 직업적성론을 실용화 하기 위해 사주와 성공 시기의 대운의 흐름과 비교 분석하여 직업적성론의 유효성을 확인한다.
4) 외국인의 사주를 분석할 때 의문시되는 태어난 위치에 따른 시간과 계절 조정에 대한 사주 분석 방법의 기준을 제시한다.
본 논문의 연구 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다.
1) 사주에서 재성의 연관성을 보면 대부분의 사주에 재성이 있고 식생재(食生財)가 잘 되거나 합(合) 등으로 재성의 기운이 강하다.
2) 사주에 재성이 없는 경우는 재성 대운(大運)이 들어온다.
3) 일간이 신강할 때 부자가 되는 경우가 많아 억부론은 유효하다고 판단된다.
4) 조후는 성공에 많은 영향력이 있지 않다.
5) 격국이 대부분 성격(成格)이 되었으나 직업에 직접적인 영향이 있지는 않다.
6) 성공에 중요한 시기에 직업적성 용신이 대운에 들어온다.
7) 성공에 중요한 시기에 직업적성 용신이 대운에 들어오지 않는 경우는 사주에 강한 직업적성 용신을 갖고 있다.
8) 대운은 천간(天干)과 지지(地支)가 같은 영향력을 지니며 대운의 천간과 지지가 서로 반대의 기운이 들어와도 모두 유용하다.
9) 외국인은 사주 분석 시 태어난 시간은 태어난 지역의 시간을 사용하고 계절은 북반구의 계절을 기준으로 사주를 분석한다.
과거에는 좋은 집안에 태어나야 부자가 될 수 있었고 사주에서 가문을 의미하는 격과 그에 따른 용신의 사용으로 결정되는 격의 성패(成敗)가 중요한 의미를 가졌다. 하지만, 현대에는 스스로 자신의 진로를 정하고 자신이 선택한 용신을 선택하여 부자가 될 가능성이 과거에 비해 월등히 높다. 이것이 개인주의의 발달에 따른 직업적성론의 뚜렷한 부각의 이유이다.
현대에는 이렇듯 선택의 자유가 있고 다양한 직업이 존재하지만 길이 너무 많으면 오히려 길을 잃듯이 자신에게 맞는 진로를 찾기가 쉽지 않다. 최근에 개별 직업군과 명리학의 관계에 관한 연구와 명리학 직업적성을 통한 직업 분류에 관한 연구가 많이 진행되고 있으나 각각 한 분야만을 연구하여 통합적인 연구가 이루어지지 않고 있다.
본 논문은 기존의 연구 결과를 통합적으로 적용하여 부자 사주의 특성을 파악함으로써 재성과 직업적성 용신의 실효성을 입증하여 개개인이 적성에 맞는 진로를 정하고 대운의 기운을 파악하여 개발과 수성의 시기를 결정하는데 실제적인 근거를 제공하고자 한다. 끝으로 직업 활동 분야에 대한 지속적이고 실제적인 연구가 일관성 있고 객관적이며 과학적으로 이어질 수 있도록 많은 이들의 조력과 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다.
