This paper aims to compare and analyze the alums of people with refractive vision impairment. It focuses on the "Sun and Moon" method and the "Lee Doo" method to create a new interpretation for vision impairments not currently explained
by the Jamidusu disease theory. Jamidusu roughly divide into southern and northern schools, each offering unique disease prediction techniques. In Korea, there is limited research on the Northern Jamidusu, but Kim Sun-ho's "Lee Doo" style based on the southern approach is gaining attention. Kim Sun-ho's technique, developed through alum analysis, uniquely structures and improves the accuracy of Jamidusu predictions compared to Taiwanese methods. The paper examines the "Sun and Moon" method's theory, suggesting that diseases develop in areas with many 'killing stars'[殺星]
regardless of location. The study found that vision impairment in all 50 subjects with refractive issues was due to 'killing stars', and other objects clustering under the Sun and Moon astrological systems. However, some cases showed good vision despite such clustering, raising questions about this method's accuracy. Using Kim Sun-ho's "Lee Doo" method, the study identified the 'Life Palace'[命宮, Myeonggung] and 'Body Palace'[身宮, Singung] and considered the 'Disease Accident Palace'[疾厄宮, Jilaeggung] in Daehan and childhood. The results show refractive vision impairment
occurred when the Sun and Moon systems moved in the alum or when the 'Disease Accident Palace' was active in these periods. In conclusion, the "Lee Doo" method is more accurate than the "Sun and Moon" method in analyzing vision impairment from refractive abnormalities. From this, a more precise interpretation method was developed by analyzing alums using both theories. This study is significant because it links the clustering of 'killing stars' with vision loss in unexplained refractive issues, like severe myopia and astigmatism. It proposes a predictive approach and suggests that the Jamidusu theory could become a widespread tool for interpreting various diseases, leading to diverse research findings.
