This thesis is the first Four Pillars(Myeongri) of Destiny study which analyzes the relationship between Four Pillars occupational apriority and
person-job fit and job satisfaction of public health center nurses. The participants of this study are a public health official, a nursing official, and primary health care posts serving in public health centers nationwide. An online survey was conducted using Google Forms from July 1 to July 31, 2023. The 304 vaild data out of a total of 310 samples used for statistical analysis. Four Pillars Occupational Apriority is composed of Day Stem, Ten Gods, Structure, Useful Gods, Dominant Five Elements, and Job Performance which are computed by inputting the birth year, month, day, and hour of the participants into the ‘Apriority Aptitude Test (AAT)’ program. Three Job Performance Abilities (leader type, supporter type, professional type) and five Ten Gods (Companion, Output, Wealth, Power, Resource) were set as independent variables while Job Fit and Job Satisfaction were set as dependent variables. The causal relationship between independent variables and dependent variables, and the correlation among dependent variables were verified. The results of the study are as follows. First, in the analysis of differences based on the characteristics of Four Pillars Occupational Apriority of the participants, it was found that Occupational Apriority (Day Stem, Structure, Useful Gods, Dominant Five Elements) did not affect Person-Job Fit (individual-job fit, individual-organizational fit, growth opportunity) and Job Satisfaction (job satisfaction, relationship satisfaction, welfare satisfaction). In the analysis of the Job Performance Abilities (leader type, supporter type, professional type), individual-organizational fit displayed influence in the order of professional > leader > supporter. In terms of growth opportunities, the impact increased in the order of professional > leader > supporter. Meanwhile, in terms of welfare satisfaction, the impact increased in the order of leader > professional type > supporter type. Second, it was found that Four Pillars Occupational Apriority had a
significant impact on the Job Fit of nurses. The levels of Companion and Resource Gods had a negative impact on individual-organizational fit while Companion Gods and the leader, supporter, and professional ability had a negative impact on the growth opportunity. Third, it was found that Four Pillars Occupational Apriority had a significant impact on the job satisfaction of nurses. In the analysis of differences based on the characteristics of Four Pillars Occupational Apriority, job satisfaction was found to be higher in the order of Fire > Metal > Earth > Water > Wood in terms of the Five Elements of the Day Stem. It was also found that the level of Companion Gods had a negative impact on welfare satisfaction. Fourth, it was found that the relationship between Job Fit and job satisfaction of nurses was significant. Nurses in public health centers with
higher levels of individual-job fit, individual-organizational fit, and growth opportunities had a positive influence on job satisfaction, relationship satisfaction, and welfare satisfaction, while those with higher levels of job satisfaction, relationship satisfaction, and welfare satisfaction had a positive impact on person-job fit, person-organization fit, and growth opportunities. In other words, it was revealed that Person-Job Fit affected in the order of job satisfaction, welfare satisfaction, and relationship satisfaction, while job satisfaction affected in the order of individual-organizational fit, individual-job fit, and growth opportunity. It is concluded that hospital nurses who want to transfer to public health center positions can use their Four Pillars Occupational Apriority in choosing the kind of health care positions available for them. It is recommended that the results of this study be utilized as baseline for enhancing job fit and job satisfaction of nurses in performing their duties.
