영유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 불확실성에 대한 인내력부족과 양육 불안의 관계에서 사회 비교 경향성과 양육효능감의 매개효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 영유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족이 양육 불안에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 둘 간의 관계를 사회 비교 경향성과 양육효능감이 매개하는지 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울 및 경기도 대구에 거주 중인 영유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니 312명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0과 PROCESS MACRO 4.0을 활용하여 분석하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 주요 변인들 간의 상관분석 결과 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족, 사회 비교 경향성, 양육효능감, 양육 불안이 서로 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계가 있는 것을 확인하였다. 둘째, 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족과 양육 불안 관계에서 사회비교 경향성과 양육효능감 각각의 매개효과가 유의하였다. 셋째, 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족과 양육 불안 관계에서 사회 비교 경향성과 양육효능감 각각의 매개효과의 절대값 차이는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다.
본 연구 결과는 영유아기 자녀를 가진 어머니의 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족이 양육 불안에 영향을 미치게 되는 과정에서 사회비교 경향성과 양육효능감 두개의 매개 변인을 거치는 경로가 공존함을 시사한다. 끝으로, 본 연구 결과를 토대로 상담 및 심리치료에 대한 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 및 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

A major objective of this study was to examine the impact of mothers'
inability to tolerate uncertainty in childhood and infancy on parental anxiety
and to determine whether social comparison tendency and parenting efficacy
play a mediating role in the relationship between parenting anxiety and lack
of tolerance for uncertainty.
A Google online survey was conducted with 317 mothers with infant
children residing in Seoul and Daegu, Gyeonggi-do. 312 data were
eventually analyzed, excluding 5 copies that were either excluded from the
study or responded insincerely.
Using SPSS 21.0 and PROCESS MACRO 4.0 to validate the research
model, the following results were obtained.
First, an analysis of correlations among major variables showed a
statistically significant correlation between lack of tolerance for uncertainty,
social comparison tendency, parenting efficacy, and parenting anxiety.
Second, each mediating effect of social comparative tendencies and
parenting efficacy was significant in the relationship between lack of
patience with uncertainty and parenting anxiety.
Third, difference in the absolute value of each individual mediating effect
of social comparative tendencies and parenting efficacy was not statistically
significant in the relationship between lack of patience with uncertainty and
parenting anxiety.
The findings suggest that the two mediating variables of social
comparison tendency and parenting efficacy coexist in the process of
mothers' lack of patience with uncertainty affecting childrearing anxiety.
The significance and limitations of this study on counseling and
psychotherapy, as well as suggestions for follow-up studies, were discussed
in light of the results.
