Since the 1950s, when Korea began to produce music in earnest, the domestic popular music record industry has been, For 70 years, the Korean popular music industry has always reacted sensitively to the latest technologies and trends. After the advent of SP, LP, CD, and MP3, By smartphones appearing, It had been constantly changing and adapting to the latest technologies, even as streaming services transition. As the record industry responds quickly to new technological developments, it is the optimal condition to apply NFT, a new technology. Large companies such as famous entertainment hive, YG, SM, and JYP, who have already recognized the potential of NFT, are preparing to cooperate with NFT Platform to utilize blockchain technology or In order to develop its own technology using NFT, it is moving quickly to respond to the new era to come. Currently, the number of cases of releasing albums by applying NFT to their own music is increasing all around world Although it is just a beginning stage, this movement shows the possibility of NFT as a new substitute for the existing music industry, which was constantly noisy due to structural problems. Just like when smartphones first appeared in the world, streaming services were activated and naturally permeated into our daily lives, When NFT is activated, the era of WEB 3.0 will open in which two-way communication between the future technology public and artists is possible. 본 논문은 4차 산업혁명이 이루어지고 있는 이 시점에서 블록체인 기술을 활용해 만들어진 NFT : 대체 불가능한 토큰(Non-Fungible Token, “NFT”)의 약자
NFT을 통해 음반산업 구조의 새로운 패러다임을 불러오기 위한 연구이다. NFT는 블록체인에 저장된 데이터 단위로써 사진, 비디오, 오디오, 기타 디지털 파일과 같은 항목을 인증하는 곳에 사용할 수 있다. 전 세계를 뒤흔든 COVID-19 창궐 이전에 블록체인 기술은 음악산업에 종사하고 있는 아티스트, 창작자, 엔터테인먼트에게 있어 아직 현실성이 부족하지만 언젠가는 실용화가 될 가능성이 보이는 흥미로운 이야기 소재 중 하나일 뿐이었다. 그러나 2020년 3월 WTO가 Covid-19 : 코로나바이러스 감염증-19

팬데믹(pandemic)을 선포하고 그 영향을 받아 서서히 변화하고 있던 4차 산업혁명 기술이 주목 받게 되면서 기술 발전에 박차를 가하게 되는 효과를 얻었다. COVID-19 이후 흥미로운 이야기 소재였던 블록체인 : 누구나 열람할 수 있는 장부에 거래 명세를 투명하게 기록하고, 여러 대의 컴퓨터에 이를 복제해 저장하는 분산형 데이터 저장기술이다. 여러 대의 컴퓨터가 기록을 검증하여 해킹을 막는다.
블록체인(Block Chain) 기술이 미술산업에서 디지털 예술품의 고유한 가치를 인정받게 되면서 주목을 받기 시작했다. NFT가 알려지기 시작한 것은 NFT를 통해 인증된 디지털 파일이 예술 상품으로써의 가치를 인정받았고 굉장히 비싼 가격에 거래가 되었다는 것, 이것이 차세대 기술 혁신이라는 이유에서이다. 국내 대중음악 음반산업은 우리나라가 본격적으로 음악을 제작하기 시작한 1950년대 이후 70년 동안 음반산업은 항상 최신 기술과 트렌드에 민감하게 반응을 했다. SP : 1분에 78회 회전하는 표준형 음반. 이피반(EP盤)이나 엘피반(LP盤)보다 역사가 오래된 음반으로, 연주 시간은 25cm반에서 편면 3.5분 이하, 30cm반에서 편면 4.5분 이하이다.
SP, LP : 음악 1분에 33⅓회 회전하는 장시간 연주용 음반. 크기는 지름 30cm이고 편면의 연주 시간은 25~30분으로 음량과 음질이 뛰어나다.
LP, CD : 물리 광신호로 기록된 음악이나 영상 따위의 정보를 재생하는 새로운 방식의 재생 기기. 디스크의 마모가 거의 없고, 수록할 수 있는 정보의 양이 많으며, 정보 재생을 깨끗하게 할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 지름 12cm의 수지계(樹脂系) 원반으로 보통 레코드의 3분의 1의 크기이다.

MP3의 등장 그 후 스마트폰의 등장으로 스트리밍 서비스 전환까지 끊임없이 변화해왔고 최신 기술에 적응해왔다. 이렇듯 새로운 기술 발전에 기민하게 반응하는 음반산업이기에 새로운 기술인 NFT를 적용하기에는 최적의 조건이라고 볼 수 있다. 이미 NFT의 가능성을 알아본 유명 엔터테인먼트 하이브, YG, SM, JYP와 같은 거대 회사들은 블록체인 기술을 활용하기 위해 NFT 플랫폼과 콜라보레이션을 준비하거나, NFT를 활용한 자체 기술 개발을 위해 앞으로 다가올 새로운 시대에 대응하기 위해 발 빠르게 움직이고 있다. 현재는 자신의 음악에 NFT를 적용해 음반을 출시하는 사례가 전 세계적으로 늘고 있다. 이제 시작하는 단계지만 이러한 움직임은 현재 구조적인으로 문제로 잡음이 끊이지 않았던 기존의 음반산업을 NFT가 새로운 대체재로서의 가능성을 보인 것이라 생각된다. 처음 스마트폰이 세상에 나와서 스트리밍 서비스가 활성화되고 자연스럽게 우리 일상생활에 스며들었을 때와 같이 NFT가 활성화되면 자연스럽게 앞으로 다가올 미래 기술 대중과 아티스트의 양방향 소통이 가능한 WEB 3.0시대가 열릴 것이다. 음반산업 전반에 새로운 패러다임을 제시하게 될 NFT의 가능성을 본 연구를 통해 제언한다.
