명리학에 적용된 음양오행론 연구 = A Study on Yin-Yang and Five Elements Used on Myeongri

국문 초록 (Abstract)

음양오행론은 명리학을 구성하는 가장 기초 이론으로 보는 데에는 다른 異論이 없다는 것이 일반적일 것이다. 음양오행론은 명리학의 제일 기본적인 사상적 틀로서 이를 전재하지 않고는 명리학에 관한 접근 자체가 불가능할 정도로 아주 큰 비중을 차지한다.
음양오행은 전국시대 말미 추연에 의해서 이론적인 형태를 갖추었으며 동중서에 의하여 추연의 음양오행 사상이 체계화되고 발전하면서 사물에 오행의 의미가 부여되었고, 이 때 십간·십이지도 음양오행 속으로 편입되었다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 음양오행 사상이 명리학속에 어떻게 수용되었는지 이론적으로 탐색해보고, 이를 바탕으로 음양오행론이 명리학에 어떻게 적용·해석되고 있는지에 대해 알아보았다.
사주명리학은 인간의 운명이 음양오행의 生剋制化 작용에 의해 길흉화복으로 나타나는 것으로 사람의 년월일시를 육십갑자로 환원하여 그 성을 음양과 오행으로 다시 구분하고 계절과 세력에 의한 강약을 구분해서 심리특성과 성격, 신체의 長短, 富貴貧賤, 生死壽夭 등의 先天命과 行運 그리고 流年에 의해 나타나는 吉凶禍福 등을 판단하는 운명예측술이다. 그러므로 명리학의 음양오행설을 정확하게 이해하기 위해 음양오행의 기원과 개념, 특징을 다루고 사주명리 음양오행과 천간지지의 특성과 결합, 배속을 분석하였다. 다시말해, 사주명리학은 음양오행의 변화와 생극제화의 법칙에서 알 수 있는 만물이 생겨나고 성장하며 쇠멸하는 대자연의 이치를 깨달아서 실생활에 응용하려는 修養의 학문이다. 이는 자아를 발견하고 각자 타고난 자질과 역량을 알아 進退를 시기에 맞게 결정함으로써 좀 더 나은 삶을 영위하게 하는 학문이라 말할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

There is no argument that Yin-Yang and the Five Elements are the most basic theories to compose Myeongri. Yin-Yang and Five Elements have an enormous weight on approaching Myeongri without the proposition.
Yin-Yang and Five Elements set a theoretical ground by Tsou Yen in the late of the Age of the Warring states and Yin-Yang and Five Elements was organized and developed by Tung Chungshu to make things meaningful and the Twelve Zodiac Signs were carried over to Yin-Yang and Five Elements. This study said how Yin-Yang and Five Elements were applied and translated to Myeongri.
Saju-Myeongri says that human fortunes could be expressed as good luck and bad luck by Saenggeugjehwa of Yin-Yang and the Five Elements, restore the birth time of human beings to Yugsibgabja, divide the nature into Yin-Yang and Five Elements, classify strength and weakness from seasons or powers and anticipate heaven's fortunes such as human physicality, rich and poor, birth and death and longevity and good luck and bad luck by Saju. This study analyzed the origins, characters and concepts of Yin-Yang and the Five Elements and handled the natures, compositions and peculiarities of Saju-Myeongri and Cheonganjiji. Saju-Myeongri is a theory for Suyang to learn the reasons of the mother nature in which everything is born, grows and diminish according to the change in Yin-Yang and the Five Elements and the principles of Saenggeugjehwa and to apply the knowledge to daily life. Saju-Myeongri is also a theory to make people a better life by understanding a personal identity and his(her) born talents and deciding to continue or resign.
