In Korea, Confucian culture was established even in modern times, and it can be seen that we are still living on the basis of Confucianism. From this point of view, we analyzed the location and feng shui of Yonggye Seowon, Gyeongsan, the hometown of Samsung, with the heart to inherit traditional culture and preserve a proud cultural heritage. In addition, Gyeongsan Yonggyeseowon, where tradition and culture are alive, should inspire the importance of cultural heritage with the spirit of the gods who came and went.
Yonggye Seowon is a seowon built to commemorate the academic achievements and virtues of Seongjae Choi, Moonbyeong, a military commander. In 1700 (26th year of King Sukjong), Chunghyeonsa was built and a memorial tablet was enshrined. In 1712 (38th year of King Sukjong), it was elevated to Yonggyeseowon and took a role in local education in the Jain area of Gyeongsan. It was demolished in 1868 (the 5th year of King Gojong) by Heungseon Daewongun's ordinance to abolish seowon, but was restored in 1914 by Sarim's justice. Influenced by Ewha's academic tradition, Choi Moon-byeong was able to know his achievements enough to appear in several annals.
In 1979, during the restoration process, they tried to use the existing pillars by digging underground, but the damage was so severe that they could not be used. However, during the restoration process, the old layout structure was deviated. In the original layout of Yonggye Seowon, the space of Chunghyeonsa was used as the shrine based on the inner gate, and it is believed that the auditorium was used as an auditorium by placing the dongjae and the study symmetrically below. With the shrine at the center of the mountain range, the lecture hall was placed in the front, and the east and left sides of the study were arranged. Priority was given to the layout of the shrine and lecture space, and the spatial composition can be seen as the typical arrangement of the tombs of the former school and later in the hyanggyo.
In the feng shui analysis, Hyeonmubong descends powerfully from north to south along the mountain range to form plasma, and Chunghyeonsa Temple is located, while Yonggye Seowon faces south. Hyeonmubong composes the prefectural head, the blue dragon composes the blue dragon, and the white tiger composes the white tiger. It can be seen from the fact that Ansan, which was cultivated by blue dragons, was low and insufficient, and it was a treasure trove by creating a bamboo forest. Early mountain is a true mountain mountain as if it is a king's stomach, has a plain water, and the tide is flowing from east to west.
