태권도 선수의 첫 온라인 세계태권도품새선수권대회 우승경험에 대한 내러티브 탐구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 내러티브탐구를 통하여 태권도 품새 국가대표선수의 코로나19 이후 시행된 첫 「온라인 세계 태권도 품새 선수권대회」에서의 준비과정과 실전경험이 우승으로 이어지게 된 의미를 이해하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 온라인 세계태권도품새선수권대회에 출전하여 우승을 한 4명의 태권도 품새 국가대표와 심층면담을 수행하고 주제분석을 통해 자료를 분석하였다. 자료 분석을 통해 이야기하기에서는 내러티브 영역을 3가지로 나누어 온라인 세계 태권도 품새 선수권대회의 참여 전 준비과정, 참여 중의 실전경험, 참여 후의 우승경험을 시간의 흐름에 따라 제시하였으며, 다시 이야기하기에서는 온라인플랫폼을 통한 태권도 품새 문화의 확장 및 온라인대회의 개선방안에 대해 제시하였다.
본 연구에 대한 결론을 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 대회준비 과정에서 온라인 세계태권도품새선수권대회 우승자들은 대회 참가 전에 변형된 개최 방식으로 좌절감을 느꼈지만 동시에 새로운 희망을 품고 코로나 시대의 온라인 대회 특성에 맞게 비대면 훈련과 시각적 연습전략을 수립한 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 대회 중 우승자들은 예선전과 준결승전에서 녹화본 심사를 받으면서 각본 있는 드라마를 경험했고, 결승전에서는 온라인플랫폼(실시간 온라인 스트리밍)을 활용한 생중계 대회를 경험하며 랜선의 힘과 한계를 동시에 느낀 것으로 나타났다.
셋째, 참여 후 우승자들은 사회적 거리두기로 인하여 기존의 현장 시상식에서 벗어나 랜선 시상식을 경험하며 우승만족감을 충족하는데에 아쉬움을 느꼈지만, 코로나19 시대의 온라인대회 우승은 단순 경쟁에서의 이김으로 인한 자아성취감이 아닌 코로나를 자신만의 방식으로 극복했다는 의미로 다가오며 그 어느 때보다 각별한 우승의 의미를 경험한 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to understand the meaning of the preparation process and practical experience at the first "Online World Taekwondo Poomsae Championship" conducted after COVID-19 of Taekwondo Poomsae national player through narrative exploration. For this, in-depth interviews with the Taekwondo Poomsae national team, which participated in the online World Taekwondo Poomsae Championship, and data analysis was conducted through topic analysis.
In the discussion through data analysis, the preparation process before participating in the online World Taekwondo Poomsae Championship, the actual experience during participation, and the winning experience after participation were presented with the passage of time, and in the discussion again, the expansion of Taekwondo Poomsae culture and improvement plan of online competitions were presented. The conclusions of this study are summarized as follows.
First, in the preparation process for the competition, the winners of the online World Taekwondo Poomsae Championship felt frustrated by the modified hosting method before participating in the competition, but at the same time, they established non-face-to-face training and visual practice strategies according to the characteristics of online competitions in the COVID-19 era with new hope,
Second, during the competition, the winners experienced scripted dramas while being screened for recordings in the preliminary and semi-finals, and in the final, they experienced live broadcast competitions using online platforms (real-time online streaming) and felt the power and limitations of LAN lines at the same time.
Third, after participation, the winners felt sorry for meeting the satisfaction of winning by experiencing the online awards ceremony away from the existing on-site awards due to social distancing, but winning an online competition in the COVID-19 era is not a sense of self-achievement caused by winning a simple competition, but a consolation that he overcame COVID-19 in his own way, indicating that he has experienced a special meaning of winning more than ever.
