To this end, the response art of the researcher, who has experienced art therapy field training as an assistant therapist and main therapist at an elementary school, was analyzed and described using the autoethnography research method.
The purpose of this study is to understand the meaning and essence of the graduate student's response art that has experienced art therapy field training in a school. Based on such findings, this research aims to enhance the field understanding of the trainees preparing for the school art therapy field training. Furthermore, through the experience of graduate student's response art and self-understanding portrayed in autoethnography, this research will provide basic data to expand the possibilities of auto-ethnography in the field of art therapy.
The research question of this study is, "How is the response art experience to school art therapy field training of a graduate student majoring in art therapy, and what are the meaning and essence of the experience?”
Based on 10 sessions of field training as an assistant therapist in August 2020 and 10 sessions of field training as a main therapist from September to October 2021 at an elementary school located in S city, this research describes the response art experience of the researcher.
