Franchise coffee shops are increasingly introducing smart order services based on O2O service due to the increase in labor costs, the spread of untact marketing, the continuous development of information and communication technologies, and the commercialization of mobile devices. In order to gain a competitive advantage in a rapidly changing environment, we are establishing differentiated and diverse service provision and marketing strategies. In this situation, smart orders are emerging as new purchasing channels and effective marketing channels.
Amid the widespread and widespread use of such smart orders, the main purpose of this study was to derive the characteristics of the smart order service exclusively for franchise coffee shops, and to examine how it affects perceived value, user satisfaction, and continued use intention. In particular, it was to investigate whether the mediating role as a parameter of the perceived value of the user in the influence relationship between the characteristic factors of the smart order and the user satisfaction, and whether the innovation propensity plays a moderating role in the influence. To this end, based on prior research, the characteristics of smart order were composed of the perceived benefits (ubiquitous connectivity, controllability, economics, personalization) and perceived sacrifices (post-benefits, annoyance), and proved the mediating effect and the moderating effect. Research models and hypotheses were established based on previous studies.
In addition, measurement questions were derived through prior research and modified and supplemented according to the intention of this study. After revising and supplementing the questions, an Internet survey was conducted by requesting a professional survey agency as a sample of users who use smart orders of franchise coffee shops. The sample data of 442 people collected through the survey were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 to test the research hypothesis.
As a result of the analysis, the perceived benefits of smart order characteristics such as ubiquitous connectivity, controllability, economics, personalization and perceived sacrifices such as post-benefits and annoyance had a significant effect on user satisfaction and perceived value, and perceived value had a significant effect on user satisfaction, and user satisfaction had a significant effect on continued use intention. In addition, as a result of testing the mediating role of the perceived value in the relationship between smart order characteristics and user satisfaction, it was found that controllability, personalization, and annoyance had a complete mediating effect in the impact relationship on user satisfaction. It was found that there was a partial mediating effect in the relationship between economic feasibility and post-benefits on user satisfaction.
In addition, the test of the moderating effect of innovation propensity in the relationship between smart order characteristics and perceived value showed that controllability, personalization, post-benefits, and annoyance have moderating effects on perceived value, depending on the level of innovation propensity.
This study confirmed the effect on user satisfaction and perceived value by composing the smart order characteristics of franchise coffee shops into two dimensions of perceived benefit and perceived sacrifice. The importance of perceived value for user satisfaction and continued use and It is of academic significance in that it has looked at the perceived value of the difference through the control effect of innovative tendencies. In addition, it is worthwhile in terms of practical implications that it understood the perceived value of smart order characteristics and user satisfaction and suggested the need for smart order service provision and marketing strategies that meet the level of innovation of users.
