유치원 사회교육 현황에 관한 연구 = (A) Study on the present situation of social education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 우리나라 유치원 사회교육의 실제적인 현황을 조사, 분석하여 우리가 당면하고 있는 사회교육의 문제해결과 보다 바람직한 사회교육 프로그램의 개발에 필요한 기초자료를 제시하는데그 목적이 있다.
연구방법은 조사연구를 수행하였다. 연구대상은 서울시내 유치원중 286곳의 교사 286명을 대상으로 선정하여 조사를 실시하였다. 그 중 질문지가 회수된 171명(59.8%)을 대상으로 분석하였고 자료처리는 백분율과 X^(2)검증법(5% 수준에서 유의도 검증)을 사용하였다.
연구문제에 대한 분석결과는 다음과 같다.
1. 사회교육의 중요성은 98.3%의 높은 인식도로 나타났다.
2. 사회교육의 목적은 원만한 대인관계를 가지고 협동정신을 갖기 위한 것(26.6%)과 긍정적인 자아개념을 갖도록 하는데(26.2%)높은 비중을 두고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
3. 사회교육계획은 아동의 요구나 흥미에 따른 계획보다는 단원에 따라 교사가 중심이 되어 계획하는 것으로 나타났다.
4. 사회교육내용으로는 자아개념 형성이 가장 필요한 내용으로 인식되었고 이를 위해서는 다른 사람의 권리를 존중하고(61.3%), 자신의 능력을 이해하도록(59.2%)지도 한다고 나타났으며 사회과학의 분야중에서는 사회학, 공공질서를 가장 많이 단원으로 사용하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
5. 사회교육은 자유놀이시간과 이야기나누기시간을 통해 실시되고 있으며 주로 교사와 이야기하면서 가장 많이 학습하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
6. 견학과 역할놀이의 필요성은 100%의 높은 인식도로 나타났으나 경비의 부족과 많은 원아수 때문에 어려움이 있는 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the present situation of social education in our kindergarten and to present the basic data for solving the problems which our kindergartens are face and for the development of more disirable programs.
This study has been conducted through the questionnaire. The subjects are 286 teachers chosen from 286 different kindergartens in Seoul, and questionnaires are sent out. Respond questionnaires were 171(59.8 percents). These responded data are ana1ized throughly for percentage and Chi-square(X^(2)) verification which 5% is significance level are adopted.
The results of these analysis for this study are as follows;
1. Importance of social education is highly perceived as 98.3%.
2. Purpose of social education is revealed teachers aim at encouraging cooperative spirit(26.6%) and building positive self-concept(26.2%).
3. Social education programs were mainly established by the teacher alone than by the children's interest and need.
4. The building of self-concept at the contents of social education that is chiefly perceived and give children guidance in paying regards to others(6l.3%) and understanding self ability(59.2%). Sociology and Public orders are revealed as major using sections.
5. Social education programs are given by talking with children in the time of free playing and talking.
6. Every teachers(100%) feels the necessity of field study and role playing. However, they have difficulties by financial affairs, and the numbers of children.
