대학생의 내현적 자기애와 학업적 지연행동의 관계에서 실패공포와 자기구실 만들기 전략의 매개 효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생의 내현적자기애 성향과 실패공포, 자기구실 만들기 전략, 학업적 지연행동 간의 관계를 살펴보고, 대학생의 내현적 자기애 성향과 학업적 지연행동간의 관계에서 실패공포와 자기구실 만들기 전략의 매개효과를 검증하기 위하여 수행하였다. 이를 위해서 대학생 전국 각지와 해외 대학에 재학중인 대학생 240명을 대상으로 내현적자기애, 실패공포, 자기구실 만들기 전략, 학업적 지연행동에 관한 설문조사를 온라인으로 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 25.0 및 SPSS PROCESS Macro 3.4을 사용하여 각 변인들에 대한 기술통계와 변인간의 상관관계를 분석하였고, 회귀분석과 부트스트래핑을 통한 매개효과 검증을 실시하였다.
본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 내현적자기애, 실패공포, 자기구실 만들기 전략, 학업적 지연행동 사이의 관련성을 분석한 결과 내현적자기애 성향은 실패공포와, 자기구실 만들기 전략, 학업적 지연행동과 각 각 모두 유의미한 정적 상관을 보였다.
둘째, 내현적자기애와 학업적 지연행동 사이에서 실패공포의 매개효과를 분석한 결과 내현적자기애와 학업적 지연행동 사이에는 매개효과가 유의하지 않는 것으로 타났다.
셋째, 내현적자기애와 학업적 지연행동 사이에서 자기구실 만들기 전략의 매개효과를 분석한 결과 내현적자기애와 학업적 지연행동사이에 자기구실 만들기 전략의 매개효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다.
넷째, 내현적자기애와 학업적 지연행동 사이에서 실패공포와 자기구실 만들기 전략을 통해 순차적 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
본 연구에서는 대학생들의 학업적 지연행동에 내현적자기애, 실패공포, 자기구실만들기 전략이 미치는 영향을 확인하였으며, 내현적 자기애성향을 가진 사람들에게 학업적 지연행동을 낮추기 위해서는 실패공포를 낮추고, 자기구실 만들기 전략 사용을 줄이는 방향으로 상담장면에서 활용될 것으로 기대된다. 결과를 토대로 본 연구결과가 갖는 상담 장면에 대한 시사점, 제한점 및 추후 연구 과제를 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this research was to examine the interrelation of Covert narcissism, Fear of failure, Self-handicapping, Academic procrastination by the College Student. Also to verify the mediating effects of Fear of failure and Self-handicapping in the relationship between Covert narcissism and Academic procrastination.
For this study, the survey was conducted of 240 college students. For this study, covert narcissism, fear of failure, self-handicapping, academic procrastination scales were used. The data were analyzed by using SPSS 25.0 and SPSS Process Macro 3.4. The correlation between the variables was analyed using SPSS. In addition to verify the mediating effect, SPSS PROCESS Macro was used.
The result is summarized as follows. First of all, Covert narcissism shows meaningful positive correlation between Fear of failure, Self-handicapping and Academic procrastination by analyzing how they are related.
Secondly, it is originally considered that Covert narcissism affects Academic procrastination with cause of fear of failure mediating effect. However, Fear of failure has no mediating effect.
Third, after analyzing the mediating effect of Self-handicapping in the course of Covert narcissism and Academic procrastination, Self-handicapping inrelations to Covert narcissism and Academic procrastination showed that there is a mediating effect.
Fourth, in the relationship between Covert narcissism and Academic procrastination, Fear of failure and Self-handicapping showed double mediating effect.
This study the effects of Covert narcissism, Fear of failure, Self-handicapping on the Academic procrastination of college students were confirmed. This result inspires the college student's who has Covert narcissism dealing with Academic procrastination. And It can be useful in college student's counselling settings. Finally, implications, limitations, and suggestions for future research are presented.
