동서사택 풍수의 비보방안 : -오방색을 중심으로-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본고에서는 양택풍수의 동서사택에서 가장 중요하게 여기는 대문의 길방과 흉방에서 발현하는 에너지를 전환시키는 방법에 대하여 논하였다. 동서사택은 조선시대부터 현대에 이르기까지 양택풍수에서 가장 널리 쓰이는 풍수이론으로, 팔괘와 陰陽五行, 九星을 배합하여 가옥의 길방과 흉방을 정단하는 풍수법이다. 본고는 이러한 동서사택의 길방과 흉방에서 발현하는 에너지를 색깔로 표현하고 그 곳에 아름다운 색깔이 발현하도록 다시 인위적인 색깔을 덧 씌었다. 이것은 혼색기법을 이용하여 에너지를 전환시키는 방법으로, 풍수에서 비보할 수 있는 매우 현실적인 방법인 것이다. 본고에서는 이 방법을 ‘비보색깔풍수’라고 명명한다.
본고에서는 동양 주거문화에 내재한 오방정색의 의미를 陰陽五行의 관점에서 설명하였으며, 오방정색이 가지고 있는 에너지가 사상과 종교, 경영과 생산에 미치는 현상을 추적하였다. 또한 오방정색의 이미지를 풍수의 방위 이론으로 분류하여, 오방정색이 공간에 미치는 영향이 인간의 주거생활에 어떻게 적용되는가를 논의 하였다. 오방정색이 나타내는 색깔은 그 시대의 문명을 대표하는 에너지로서 발현되고 그에 영향을 받아 문명은 변화하고 변화가 일어난다. 그러므로 본고에서는 색깔이 지닌 내면적 에너지와 외형적 에너지의 현상을 통합 분석하였다.
색은 에너지(기)에 따라서 순간순간 고유한 색의 무늬를 발산한다. 즉 각각의 색깔(빛의 무늬)에는 각기 다른 에너지가 함축되어 있다. 이러한 에너지는 공간에 직접적으로 또는 간접적으로 보편적이고 특수한 영향력을 가지므로, 색은 인간의 주거공간을 편하게도 하고 불편하게도 한다. 색과 인간의 이러한 유기적 관계는 인간의 문화를 선도하며 끊임없이 변화를 유도한다. 특히 어린이의 성장과 발달과정에는 색깔이 미치는 영향력이 지대하다. 색깔은 성격형성, 식생활의 패턴, 신체 특정부위의 발달, 나아가 지능에까지 모든 것에 관여한다. 오방정색이 나타내는 색깔의 현상은 단지 무늬와 빛으로만 자연과 연관되는 것이 아니다. 각각의 색깔에 따라 발산되는 무늬와 빛은 그 에너지의 정도에 따라서 공간과 시간에 항상 유기적인 영향력을 미친다.
풍수는 동양의 도교사상과 깊숙한 관련을 맺고 있다. 여기에 주역과 陰陽五行思想이 종합되어있다. 따라서 동양의 색깔에 관한 인식은 자연관과 유기적으로 연결되어 있어 자연 속에서 인간이 공존하는 구조, 즉 자연과 인간이 함께 어울리는 관계이다. 본고에서는 오방정색의 이런 영향력을 동양의 자연관에 입각한 주역적 사유체계인 풍수사상과 접목하여, 현대인의 주거공간에 세부적으로 적용하여 설명하고자 한다. 인간은 지구상에 있는 어느 동물보다도 가장 색깔에 민감하고 적극적으로 반응한다. 그래서 색은 인간에게 심대한 작용력을 갖고 있는 것이다. 특히 문화의 다양성이 불특정하게 표출되는 현대사회에 색깔은 그 문화를 대변하는 표시이기도 하다. 그러므로 본고에서는 색을 단지 好와 不好로 구분하는 것을 넘어서, 색깔이 자연과 인간에 미치는 물리적인 현상을 연구하고 분석하여, 자연의 안녕과 인간의 사회생활에 색깔이 적극적으로 이용될 수 있음을 밝힌다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper discussed methods to convert the energy expressed in the auspicious and ominous bearings of the gate, which is considered the most important in Dongseosataek of Yang Taek Feng Shui. Dongseosataek is the Feng-Shui Theory most widely used in Yang Taek Feng Shui from the Joseon Dynasty to the present day and is the Feng-Shui method that determines the auspicious and ominous bearings of houses through the combination of Eight Trigrams, Yin-Yang and the Five Elements, and Nine Stars. This paper represented the energy, expressed in the auspicious and ominous bearings of Dongseosataek, in colors and reapplied artificial colors there for the expression of beautiful colors. This is a method of converting energy using a color mixing technique, which can also be said to be a very realistic way for Bibo Feng Shui. In this paper, the method is hereinafter referred to as ‘Bibo Color Feng Shui’.
This paper explained the meaning of Five Traditional Colors that are inherent in an oriental housing culture from the perspective of Yin-Yang and the Five Elements and traced the influence of the energy in Five Traditional Colors on though, religion, management, and production. In addition, it discussed how the influence of Five Traditional Colors on space has been applied to the housing life of human beings by classifying the image of Five Traditional Colors based on Feng Shui’s bearing theory. The colors expressed by Five Traditional Colors are expressed as the energy representing the civilization of the era, and, under the influence, civilization changes, and changes occur accordingly. Therefore, in this paper, the phenomena of internal and external energies that colors have were integrated and analyzed.
The colors emit a pattern of colors that are unique at that moment, depending on the energy (ki). In other words, it can be said that different energies are implied in each color (pattern of light). As the energies have a universal and special influence on space directly or indirectly, colors make the residential space of humans comfortable and sometimes uncomfortable. Such relationship between colors and humans leads human cultures while continuing to induce them to be changed. The influence of colors is particularly significant in the growth and development of children. Colors are involved in all things, such as the formation of personality, patterns of diet, development of specific parts of the body, and even intelligence. The phenomenon represented by Five Traditional Colors is not related to nature only by patterns and lights. The patterns and lights emitted depending on each color always have an organic effect on space and time, according to energy levels.
Feng Shui is deeply related to the Taoism of the East. In here, Zhouyi and the thought of Yin-Yang and the Five Elements are synthesized. Therefore, the perception of colors in the East is organically linked to a view of nature, implying the structure in which humans coexist in nature, namely, the relationship between nature and human beings in harmony. This paper aimed to explain the influence of Five Traditional Colors through the detailed application to modern people’s residential space by combining it with the Feng-Shui thought, a thinking system of Zhouyi based on the Oriental view of nature. In fact, humans are more sensitive to colors and more actively respond to them than any other animals on earth. So, it is no exaggeration to say that colors have a profound effect on humans. Colors are the symbol of culture especially in a modern society where cultural diversity is expressed unspecified. Therefore, this paper was intended to reveal that colors can be actively used in the well-being of nature and human social life by studying and analyzing the physical phenomena that colors affect on nature and humans, beyond just dividing them into what humans like or dislike.
