    This study deals with taxonomy, biostratigraphic and paleoecological implications of non-marine ostracod faunas from the Cretaceous strata of Korea (Jinju Formation, Hampyeong Basin, Dalido Formation, Jangseong area, and Nangdo area). In addition, ostracods from the Yanji Basin (Tongfosi and Dalazi formations) of China are described. A total of 22 species belonging to 8 genera of Korea, and 14 species belonging to 9 genera of the Yanji Basin are described herein. With the recovery of well-preserved specimens of the Jinju Formation, hypothetical evolutionary routes and significant characters of the representatives of genera Cypridea and Mongolocypris are identified. In addition, the sieve pore, ontogeny and sexual dimorphism of Vlakomia jilinensis and Vlakomia ustinovskii (Limocytherinae of Family Limnocytheridae) from the Yanji Basin are recognized.
    The faunal composition of many deposits in this study consists mainly of the representatives of the Superfamily Cypridoidea. While other two non-marine ostracod groups (cytheroidean and darwinuloideans) are absent or rarely discovered. In addition, the occurrences of endemic species with common East Asian species seem to be influenced by an unstable or stressful environment due to their high ecologic tolerate limits.
    Despite some representatives are endemic to each of fauna, many representatives of genera Scabriculocypris, Cypridea, Mongolocypris, Lycopterocypris and Candona show faunal exchanges between Korea, China and Mongolia during late Early to Late Cretaceous. This new faunal investigation and biostratigraphic correlation suggest the ages for deposits of Korea and the Yanji Basin as follows; Albian for the Jinju and Tongfosi formations and the Hampyeong Basin, Albian to Cenomanian? for the Dalido Formation, Cenomanian for the Dalazi Formation, Campanian for the Jangseong area, and Campanian to Maastrichtian? for the Nangdo area.
