Death is bound to come to people living their lives. Humans rely on religion as a way to overcome the limitations of life caused by death. When people regard death as a process to start a new life, not an end to life, they also overcome death through religion. Buddhism has influenced our lives and deaths a lot. The core of Buddhism is the samsara(the eternal cycle of birth, death, and rebirth), which is based on life and death ritual of Buddhism. A life and death ritual of Buddhism is a ritual procedure that helps the deceased die, leads a new life to Chondo(a rite held to the Buddha and the Bodhisattva to pray for the repose of the dead.), and helps grief of the bereaved family return to their daily lives. Buddhist Death Rituals include Death and dying ritual and Sedarim of Buddhism and Cremation ritual, 49 days service for Buddhist death ritual, and Chondo ritual. The life - and - death view of Buddhism and Funeral ritual of Bud -dhism which includes Death and Dying ritual, Death and Dying ritual is an important process that gives not only the dying person but also their bereaved families a clear awareness of the true meaning of death. This process creates the right perception of death, which leads to the sublimation of life and death into a more advanced form. Also included in life and death ritual of Buddhism are the periods of bardo. As well as Death and Dying ritual just before and after death, 49 days service for Buddhist death ritual performed in the bardo, which is very important rituals. Therefore, rituals continue even after one's death, which is a characteristic of Buddhism. Death is the last of many rite of passage of life, and death and listing are no longer taboo areas. Despite the growing interest in death in recent years, Buddhism has lagged behind the recent changes in funeral culture. The Buddhist system of life and death seems to be lacking in understanding how to understand death and also how to accept it, and also how to pay tribute to and support the dead. Perhaps this is why many elderly Buddhists, who are about to die in old age, often convert to other religions in self-righteousness. It is necessary to prevent Buddhists from converting to other religions through systematic education on death, Buddhist life- and - death view, including the establishment of proper life and death ritual. If the Buddhist saints who help the dying perform memorial services in Korean at the time of the dying ceremony and the Sedarim of Buddhism, they will be able to help the dying man live in paradise of Buddhism. In this study, we looked at the origin and role of Death and Dying ritual and Sedarim of Buddhism, which can more actively accept the meaning of life and death at a time when Buddhists are declining. In addition, the current problems of Buddhist sacrament were identified through the study of the present status of Buddhist rites, such as Buddhist prayer for Death and Dying, Sedarim of Buddhism and practice and action of Buddhist prayer. Based on the analysis of the various problems of the current Buddhist rites, we intend to present the following measures for revitalization for the settlement of Buddhist life and death rites in the future. First, illegal the evangelsm of Buddhism is needed through the communication of ritual. Second, the Korean language ritual to help the congregation understand should be further activated. Third, a a public service of Buddhist prayer should be organized and operated nationwide. Fourth, a unified ceremonial book for the unity of ritual should be produced.
