음악치료사의 정서지능이 치료적 동맹에 미치는 영향 : 발달수준의 매개효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 음악치료사의 정서지능, 치료적 동맹, 발달수준 간의 관계를 알아보고 음악치료사의 정서지능이 치료적 동맹에 미치는 영향에서 발달수준의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 임상에서 활동하고 있는 음악치료사 224명이고, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0 프로그램으로 빈도분석, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis, ANOVA, Pearson 상관분석, 단순회귀분석, 중다회귀분석과 위계적 회귀분석을 사용하여 통계 처리하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 음악치료사의 일반적 특성에 따른 정서지능, 치료적 동맹, 발달수준의 수준을 분석한 결과‘학력’에 따라 정서지능과 발달수준에 유의미한 차이가 있었고, ‘연령’에 따라 발달수준에 유의미한 차이가 있었으며, ‘임상경력’에 따라 정서지능, 발달수준, 치료적 동맹에 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 음악치료사의 정서지능, 치료적 동맹, 발달수준간의 상관관계 분석 결과 모두 유의미한 정적 상관관계를 보였다. 셋째, 음악치료사의 정서지능, 발달수준, 치료적 동맹 간의 영향 관계를 분석한 결과 모두 유의미한 영향 관계를 나타냈다. 하위요인 수준의 영향관계를 분석한 결과 정서지능은 발달수준의 하위요인인 ‘알아차리기’에 가장 큰 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 발달수준의 하위요인인 ‘인간적·윤리적 태도’는 치료적 동맹에 가장 큰 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 음악치료사의 정서지능이 치료적 동맹에 미치는 영향에서 발달수준의 매개효과 검증 결과 발달수준 전체와 하위요인 모두 유의한 부분 매개효과를 보였으며 특히 ‘음악치료기술’ 하위요인이 가장 높은 매개효과를 나타냈다. 본 연구는 음악치료사의 정서지능, 치료적 동맹 그리고 발달수준의 관계를 살펴보고 정서지능과 치료적 동맹의 관계에서 발달수준의 매개효과를 검증하여 음악치료사의 정서지능에 관련된 기초자료를 제시하였다. 또한 치료적 동맹을 위해 음악치료사의 정서지능과 발달수준을 탐구하고 개발시켜야 할 필요성을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between emotional intelligence and therapeutic alliance of music therapists and the mediating effect of development level on this relationship. 224 clinically active music therapists participated in the survey and provided their demographics, emotional intelligence, development level, and therapeutic alliance. The collected data were then analyzed using frequency analysis, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and simple/multiple/hierarchical regression analyses with SPSS 22.0.
The results of this study were as follows: First, our analysis revealed significant differences in emotional intelligence and development level with respect to their educational background and in development level with respect to their age. Also, their emotional intelligence, development level, and therapeutic alliance were significantly different with respect to their clinical experience. Second, significant correlations were found among the emotional intelligence, development level, and therapeutic alliance. Third, their emotional intelligence, development level, and therapeutic alliance had significant effects on each other. More specifically, emotional intelligence had the strongest, positive effect on ‘awareness’, a sub-dimension of development level, and ‘humanistic and ethical attitude’ of development level had the strongest, positive effect on therapeutic alliance. Fourth, each of the development level sub-dimension had a significant mediating effect on the relationship between emotional intelligence and therapeutic alliance, with the sub-dimension ‘music therapy skills & techniques’ being the strongest.
Examining the relationship between emotional intelligence, therapeutic alliance, and development level, this study presented relevant data regarding emotional intelligence of music therapists. The study findings suggest the need to further examine the effects of music therapists’ emotional intelligence and development level on their therapeutic alliance.
