      The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of instructional sand
      game program on depression and interpersonal relationship of middle - aged
      women And to investigate the effect of beating.

      The research problems of this study are as follows.
      1. Does the indicative group sand play program help to reduce depression in
      middle-aged women?
      2. Does instructional group sand play program have an effect on improving
      interpersonal relationships among middle-aged women?
      The subjects of this study were 30 middle - aged women who wanted to pa
      rticipate in middle - aged female adult students aged 40 ~ 60 years old at uni
      versity in Busan, , And 15 control subjects.
      The instructional group sand play program is divided into 8 sessions, 70 min
      utes each, twice a week. The main progress of the program was done by the
      researcher. As a research tool, The instructional group sand play program is di
      vided into 8 sessions, 70 minutes each, twice a week. The main progress of th
      e program was done by the researcher.
      The tools for the study were to create a depression index. To measure, Be
      ck's depression level (1967) Using tools adapted by Ho and Song Jong-yong
      (1991), measure personal relationships Kim Chang-dae and Kim Soo-im (2001)
      have adapted and justified the measure of interpersonal competence developed
      by Hayer Buhrmester, Furman, Wittenberg and Reis (1988).
      Respectively. The experimental procedure was performed in the order of pre-
      test, experimental treatment, and post-test, The SPSS 21.0 statistical program
      was used. The analytical methods are as follows:
      First, the experimental group participating in the instructional group sand game program showed a significant decrease in depression score after death as compared with the control group without participation.
      Second, the experimental group participating in the instruction group sand pl
      ay program showed significantly higher interpersonal score than the control group which did not participate.
      Based on the results of this study, it was found that the program can help depression of middle - aged women and improve interpersonal relations.
