The basic system of the Myung-Ri Theory was thought to be originated from astronomy and human beings were forced to be dependent upon nature, for the order and operation of the universe could have an impact on both natural affairs and men. Since natural affairs began to put direct influence on ancient people, men have observed reiterative natural affairs and resulted in the advent of various areas such as astronomy, geography, alchemy, science, medical science and philosophy. The theory of Yin and Yang and the Five Elements stood in the middle of the development and the striking development in the East Asia became an essential factor for survival instict. There were a lot of divinations that became a tool to cope with human problems and Saju and Myung-Ri was a theory to figure out fate. The Myung-Ri Theory was born in the East Asian region and influenced and developed by environment and geography.
The three most famous books for the Myung-Ri in China are Yeonhaejapyeong in the Song Dynasty, Jeokcheonsu in the Ming Dynasty and Japyeongjinjeon in the Qing Dynasty. Among them Jeokcheonsu is the one to investigate in this study. Jeokcheonsu is a book that Gyeongdo wrote and Yubaekon interpreted and Imcheolcho added notes to Jeokcheonsu in the Qing Dynasty and Wonsusan compiled it to publish Jeokcheonsucheonmi. Jeokcheonsu has just the original contents and notes and does not comment on the fate according to personal birthdate, while added actual cases that Taeawa and Bulgeup were divided by Saju-Palja and the Yin and Yang and the Five Elements and the neutral Yongsin. The conventional Myung-Ri books concentrated on cases for Myungjo around theories or explanations whereas Imcheolcho coped with the translation of 512 Myungjo and the good or bad luck of Myungjo and created Jonggeok Theory to raise the conventional Myung-Ri Theory to one step higher.
The 1st chapter of this study corresponds to introduction including the goal, the method and the analysis of the prior investigation of the study. The 2nd chapter refers to the main subject including the whole life and the Myung-Ri idea of Imcheolcho and any correlation with Jeokcheonsu, the origin of Jeokcheonsucheonmi. The 3rd chapter concentrates on the feature and meaning of Cheongan and the origin of Cheongan describes the form and interpretation of Cheongan around Sagi,「Yulseo」,Hanseo,「Yulreokji」,Ia,「Seokcheon」,Hoinamja and Seolmunhaeja and also investigates the features of Cheongan on Yeonhaejapyeong, Sammyeongtonghoi and Gungtongbogam. The 4th chapter figures out the unique characteristic of Jeokcheonsucheonmi through the comparison with the conventional Myung-Ri books and the analysis of Cheongan on Jeokcheonsucheonmi. The 5th chapter is the conclusion to comment on the result and issue of this study.
