알폰스무하의 조형적 특성을 응용한 네일디자인 제안 연구 = Proposition on nail design as an application of formative characteristics in Alfons Mucha's art

국문 초록 (Abstract)

현대사회는 시대적 흐름과 대중예술을 기반으로 사회 환경에 따라 새롭게 변화되고 있는 트랜드를 형성하고 다양한 표현양식과 문화들이 표현되어지고 있다 미술양식의 대표적인 작가 알폰스무하의 회화작품 특성인 자연의 신비스러운 꽃과 식물의 줄기에서 모티브를 얻을 수 있으며, 또한 여성의 육체미 속에 형태와 관능미로 가득찬 모습을 서로 융화시켜 표현한 회화 작품의 특징을 형태적 특성과 색채적 특성을 기반으로 아트마스크와 네일디자인의 표현기법에 있어 다양한 시각으로 풀어보며 독창성 색채적 배색과 차별화된 표현기법을 적용하여, 기술적이면서 새로운 소재의 사용들로 접목함에 연구의 의의를 두고자 한다.
따라서 본 연구에서는 아르누보 대표 화가 알폰스무하(1860~1939)의 작품에 관해 이론적 고찰과 작품의 형태, 색채적 특성을 분석한 후 이를 모티브로 다양한 작품을 제작해 예술적 사고를 아트마스크와, 네일디자인 부분에 확장시켜 재해석 하고자 하였다.
본 연구의 목적은 현대사회의 예술 분야의 한 부분인 뷰티디자인에 있어 창의성과 시각적 즐거움, 기술적인 부분의 표현방법을 제시하고자 한다.
작품 제작에 앞서 연구의 내용 방법으로는 국내외 논문과 문헌 등을 통한 다양한 방법의 이론적 분석을 통하여 알폰스무하의 작품에서 나타나는 색채적 특성과 형태적 특성을 분석하고 NCS표색계를 적용하여 육안으로 측색하고 분석해 총 8개의 아트마스크와 네일디자인을 제작했다.
그 결과 본 논문의 연구결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 알폰스무하 작품 속의 곡선적인 형태와 아르누보 성인 표현기법은 아트마스크와 네일디자인의 소재로 활용하기에 적합했음을 알 수 있었다.
둘째, 알폰스무하의 작품에 표현된 유기적인 곡선과 식물 패턴화의 모티브를 이용해 아트마스크와 네일디자인에 응용해 풍부한 색감과 다양하고 활용도 높은 디자인 표현이 가능하였다.
셋째, 작가의 예술작품에서 영감을 얻어 재조명하고 기존의 마스크 디자인의 형태에서 벗어나 새로운 디자인 형태를 도전 하여 작품을 재구성 하였다.
넷째, 알폰스무하 회화를 창작 영역확대와 예술적 가치를 고취시킴으로 아트마스크 뿐만이 아닌 네일디자인과 함께 작품을 제작함으로 디자인의 표현 범위를 여러 가지 방법으로 제시 할 수 있다.
본 연구를 통해 알폰스무하의 작품을 모티브로 선정하여 작품을 고찰하고 분석하며 단순한 그림의 의미에서 벗어나 미학적 측면에서 적용 시킬 수 있는 예술적 확대해석과 알폰스무하 작품세계를 해석함으로 그가 표현하고자 하였던 작품 속 형태적 분석과 색채 분석을 아트마스크와 네일디자인에 접목시켜 작품 디자인의 다양한 시도를 한 것에 의미를 두고 있으며, 본 연구를 바탕으로 작가의 작품을 응용한 구체적이고 예술적 가치를 높이는 실용적인 연구로 응용할 수 있는 연구가 지속적으로 이루어지길 바란다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Various form of expression and culture are being performed along with the ever-changing trends of modern society based on popular art that constantly changes over time. In the works of Alfons Mucha, one of the leading artist in modern art, can be found not only the motives of mysterious botanical beauty of flowers and stems but also the voluptuous beauty of women that illustrates the nature of form and color. By extracting and combining the gist of his works, we demonstrate various perspectives in creating art masks and nail designing technique. Also, by utilizing artist's ingenious arrangements of colors and presentation methods, we emphasize the meaning of this research in the use of technical and newly attempted material.
In summary, current research seeks to reinterpret the works of Alfons Mucha(1860~1939) one of the greatest artists in the era of Art Nouveau, by analyzing theoretical studies and the characteristics of forms and colors in his works and ultimately produce new art pieces of modern era such as art masks and nail design.
The purpose of current research lies in proposing uniqueness, visual pleasure and new technique in the art of modern era such as beauty design. Preceding creation of actual pieces, we conducted a thorough analysis on the characteristics of forms and colors in the arts of Alfons Mucha by studying papers and literatures from home and abroad. In sequence, we utilized NCS(natural color system) to calibrate and assess the artist's art works to create 8 art masks and nail design samples as an output of reinterpretation.
As a result, the results of current research are as in the following.
First of all, curved forms and expression methods used in portraying saints in Art Nouveau style were suitable to apply in designing art masks and nail designs.
Second, systematic curves and motives of natural flora pattern in the work of Alfons Mucha enabled rich sense in color and potential in various applications when applied to art masks and nail designs.
Third, inspired by Mucha's art works, we were able to make an attempt on creating a novel form of design that deviates from preexisting mask designs and recreate the art piece.
Lastly, by inspiring its artistic value, we were able to expand the domain and presenting method of reinterpreting Alfons Mucha to the field of not only art mask but also nail design.
Current research studies and analyzes the works of Alfons Mucha as a motive to discover meaning that goes beyond the painting itself which can be applied in various art fields in an aesthetic way. Also the research has its significance in actually creating art masks and nail designs in various style based on the analysis on the characteristics of forms and colors which represents the gist of Alfons Mucha's art. We hope for future researches that apply preexisting art works into creating practical and reinterpreted new art pieces.
