The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between early childhood teacher's communication competence, teacher efficacy and instructional strategy for early childhood problem behavior, and the influence of early childhood teacher's communication competence and teacher efficacy on instructional strategy for early childhood problem behavior.
The research problem set up for this research purpose was as follows.
1. What is the relationship between early childhood teacher communication competence, teacher efficacy and early childhood behavioral strategies?
2. What is the relative influence of early childhood teachers' communication competence, and teacher efficacy on instructiona strategy for early childhood problem behavior?
The subjects of this study were 209 early childhood teachers in kindergarten and daycare center in Seoul. The survey data collected for this study were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 program as follows. First, a frequency analysis was conducted to investigate the general characteristics of early childhood teachers. The mean and standard deviation were calculated to examine the general tendency of the main research variables. Second, correlation analysis was conducted to investigate the relationship between teacher's communication competence, teacher efficacy and instructiona strategy for early childhood problem behavior. Finally, multi-regression analysis was conducted to investigate the relative influence strength of teacher's communication competence and teacher efficacy on instructiona strategy for early childhood problem behavior. The results of this study were summarized as follows
First, as a result of analyzing the effect of teacher 's communication ability and teacher efficacy on the use of prevention strategies for young children, communication ability and teacher efficacy factors of early childhood teachers were found to be variables Of the respondents. Teacher 's communication ability showed a statistically significant effect on the use of preventive strategy for problem behavior instruction of young children. In addition, the teacher efficacy factor, general teacher efficacy and personal teacher efficacy, And it has a significant static effect. The relative influence of the use of prevention strategies on the problem behavior guidance of young children showed that communication ability was the most influential, followed by personal teacher efficacy, general teacher efficacy, etc.
Second, teachers' communication ability and teacher 's efficacy factors accounted for 29.8% of respondents' strategies for problem behavior instruction. Teacher 's communication ability showed significant statistical effect on the use of reaction strategy to problem behavior instruction of young children. Among teacher efficacy factors, personal teacher efficacy was statistically significant Respectively. The relative influence of the influence variables of the use of the response strategy on the problem behavior instruction of the infant showed that the personal teacher efficacy was larger than the communication ability.
