韓國 傳統 通脈風水의 發福推算에 관한 硏究

국문 초록 (Abstract)

풍수가 중국에서 발생하여 우리나라에 전해졌으며, 중국이 풍수의 발생지라는 것이 대부분 학자의 견해이다. 일본인 학자 무라야마지준은 “예로부터 중국 민간에서 바람과 물을 관찰하여 땅을 고르던 습관을 차용하여 상지법의 원칙을 삼은 것” 村山智順, 『朝鮮の風水』, 최길성역, 『조선의 풍수』, 민음사, 1990, 25면.
으로 중국에서 풍수가 발생하였을 것이라고 추정하였으며, “한국의 모든 풍수 서는 중국에서 전승된 것” 村山智順, 『朝鮮の風水』, 최길성역, 위의 책. 23면.
이라고 주장하였다. 이후, 이병도가 “숭복사(崇福寺)의 비문을 토대로 풍수는 통일신라 이후 중국으로부터 받아 들였다.” 이병도, 『고려시대의 연구』, 아세아문화사, 1980, 21~30면 참조.
라고 하여 일본인의 주장을 뒷받침하였다. 이후 일부 학자들이 풍수의 한국 발생설을 주장하였지만 대부분 학자들은 풍수가 중국에서 발생하여 한국으로 전해졌다고 하는 것이 대체적인 견해이다.
그러나 『고려사』나 『조선왕조실록』에 등장하는 우리 고유의 풍수 서인 『신지비사(神誌秘詞)』의 존재나 이중환의 『택리지』에 등장하는 『저기(著記)』, 그리고, 고려시대 지리업 과목인 『신집지리경(新集地理經)』, 『유씨서(劉氏書)』, 『지리결경(地理決經)』, 『경위령(經緯令)』, 『지경경(地鏡經)』, 『구시결(口示決)』, 『태장경(胎藏經)』, 『가결(訶決)』, 『소씨서(蕭氏書)』등은 중국의 풍수 서에 등장하지 않는 책들로 중국의 풍수 이론과는 다르다고 할 수 있다. 이는 중국과 차별되는 우리 민족 고유의 풍수가 존재하였다는 것을 시사하는 것이다.
불가에서 승려에서 승려로 비전 된 ��유리자통서(琉璃子通書)��에 기록된 우리의 전통풍수인 통맥법은 중국의 풍수와 차별되는 풍수로 가장 큰 특징은 발복추산이라 할 수 있다.
본 연구에서는 실제 통맥법의 적용사례 중 발복추산을 위한 박환이 이루어진 김극뉴 묘소, 전주최씨 시조 최아 묘소, 김인백 처 안동권씨 묘소를 고찰하였다. 통맥법이 적용된 묘소의 경우 발복추산이 정확하게 일치하는지는 논외로 하더라도 중국의 풍수와 차별되고 있다는 점은 시사하는 바가 크다고 할 수 있다.
본 연구에서는 한국 풍수의 유래를 중국이라는 기존 학계의 대체적인 주장에 대하여 중국과 차별되는 우리 고유의 풍수가 존재하였다는 것을 사례 분석을 통하여 고찰하였다. 풍수지리가 우리 역사 속에서 문화유산에 많은 영향을 끼친 점을 고려할 때, 우리의 문화에는 전통풍수지리 사상이 내재되어 있으며, 한국 전통풍수지리 사상을 연구하는 것은 우리 문화의 한 단면을 밝히는 것이라고 할 수 있을 것이다.
일제 식민 통치시대에 일본인들은 우리의 민족정신을 말살하기 위하여 조선의 모든 사상은 다른 나라에서 들어왔으며 조선은 스스로 문화나 사상을 만들 수 없다고 역사왜곡을 하였다. 이러한 배경에서 일본인 무라야마지준은 우리의 풍수 사상도 중국으로부터 유입되었다고 주장하였는데, 본 연구에서는 우리 고유의 풍수사상이 존재하였다는 것을 고찰하였는데, 우리 고유의 풍수사상에 대한 많은 연구가 이루어지기 위한 단초가 되었으면 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

It is mostly the scholars’s opinion that Feng Shui was originated in China and transmitted to Korea, and also China is the origin of Feng Shui. Japanese scholar Murayama Jijoon said, "It has taken the habit of choosing the land by observing the wind and water among the Chinese civilian from ancient times①, and so Feng Shui was originated in China"②. And, he also argued that all the Feng Shui texts in Korea were handed down from China.

Lee Byung-do accepted that Feng Shui was passed down from China after the unified Silla, based on the inscription of Chong Fuk Temple(崇福寺)③, which supported the Japanese claim. Although some scholars have argued for the origins of Feng Shui as Korea, most scholars say that Feng Shui was originated in China and then transmitted to Korea.

However, the existence of "Shinji Visa(神誌秘詞)", Korean original Feng Shui book mentioned in "Goryeo History" or "Chosun Dynasty Annals," and "ZhuJi(著記)" in " Taek Ri Zi(擇里志)” written by Lee Joong Hwan, “On Newly Collected Geography(新集地理經)” “Yoo’s Text(劉氏書)”, “Geography Text(地理決經)”, “Gyeong Wi Ryeong(經緯令)”, “Ji Gyeong Gyeong(地境經)”, “Gu Shi Hyeol(口示決)”, “Tae Jang Gyeong(胎藏經)”, “Ga Gyeol(訶決)”, “So’s Text(蘇氏書)” etc. which are the books not mentioned in Chinese Feng Shui texts, and those are different from Chinese Feng Shui theory.
This suggests that there has been a Feng Shui unique to Korea that is different from China.

Tongmae(通脈) method, our traditional Feng Shui, recorded in “Yoo Ri Ja Tong(琉璃子通)” handed down from a monk to a monk in the Buddhist monastery, has been different from that of Chinese Feng Shui. And its greatest feature is to predict the fortune.

In this study, the mausoleums of Kim Geuk New, Choi Ah who was progenitor of Jeonju Choi, and Mrs. Kwon who was the wife of Kim In Baek, were considered based on Tongmae method applied in the mountains where developed for the fortune.

In case of the mausoleums applied Tongmae method, it can be said that it is different from the Chinese Feng Shui even if it does not exactly match the estimation of the fortune.

In this study, the facts were investigated through the case analysis that our original Feng Shui was different from China, which is against the existing claim of that Korean Feng Shui was came from China where regarded as an origin of Feng Shui.

Considering the fact that Feng Shui has a lot of influence on cultural heritage in our history, our culture has inherited the idea of traditional Feng Shui. Accordingly, the study of the Korean traditional Feng Shui idea is to identify an aspect of our culture.

In the era of Japanese colonial rule, the Japanese had distorted our history to eradicate our ethnic spirit arguing that all the ideas of Joseon came from other countries and Joseon could not make culture or ideas on his own. In this background, Japanese Muruyama claimed that Korean Feng Shui idea came from China.

In this study, it was considered that the fact our own Feng Shui ideas have existed for a long time in Korea. And, I hope this study can be a clue to study further on our unique Feng Shui ideas.
