In order to investigate the satisfaction and perception of learners of online lectures of cyber universities and learners of the credit banking system, this study compared and analyzed their effects on variables such as system, curriculum, teaching and teaching method, and educational environment. The results of the study are as follows.
1. The ratio of female to male students was 77 % for cyber universities and 87 % for the credit banking system, showing higher percentage of females than males. As for age, 40 % of learners in cyber universities were in their 40s while 80 % of learners of the credit banking system were in their 20s.
2. In the comparison of jobs and educational background of learners of cyber universities and the credit banking system, 68 % out of the workers, who took 94 % of the learners in cyber universities were working in the beauty industry and 66 % out of the workers, who took 76 % of the learners of the credit banking system were working in the beauty industry. As for the distribution of educational background, high school graduates took 52 % of the learners in cyber universities and 66 % of the learners of the credit banking system, 14 % higher than cyber university
3. In the comparison of ways to enter schools between cyber universities and the credit banking systems, cyber universities consist of 59 % of freshmen and 41 % of transfer students, while the credit banking system was composed of 63 % of freshmen and 37 % of transfer students, both showing that ratio of freshmen was higher than that of transfer students.
4. In the comparison of information collection route between cyber universities and the credit banking system, recommendations of acquaintances took 52 % in cyber universities and 57 % in the credit banking system, showing that the figure was 5 % higher in the credit banking system than in cyber universities.
5. In the comparison of positive perceptions before and after entering schools between learners of cyber universities and the credit banking system, before entering schools, positive perceptions were 45 % and 31 % respectively, with cyber universities scoring 14 % higher than the credit banking system, and after entering schools, positive perceptions were 87 % and 58 % respectively, with cyber universities scoring 29 % higher than the credit banking system.
6. In the comparison of satisfaction of learners in cyber universities and the credit banking system, cyber universities scored 77 % and the credit banking system recorded 57 %, with cyber universities marking 20 % higher than the credit banking system.
7. In the comparison of satisfaction and perception about the curriculum between learners of cyber universities and the credit banking system, satisfaction of the curriculum was higher in theory classes than in other classes. As for perception, many learners of both cyber universities and the credit banking system said learning was easy, contents of the lessons fit the expectations and goals, and were helpful for actual work.
8. In the comparison of satisfaction and perception about teaching methods between learners of cyber universities and the credit banking system, among the 5 items that were surveyed to be most satisfactory, “a wealth of professional knowledge on subjects” scored the highest with 61 % of the cyber universities and 47 % of the credit banking system. In terms of the appropriateness of the contents of lectures, cyber universities scored 10 % and the credit banking system marked 23 %, with the credit bank system recording 13 % higher than cyber universities.
9. In the comparison of satisfaction and perception about educational environment between learners of cyber universities and the credit banking system, satisfaction about educational environment was higher in cyber universities than the credit banking system by 27 %.
The findings above are expected to be used as base data in designing curriculum of cyber universities and the credit banking system.
