성명학의 원리와 사회적 함의에 관한 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Is the destiny set the moment human is born? This is one of the
most curious things by people. Actually, if the destiny is set, people don't have to try their best to their life. Because nothing will be changed if they try. On the contrast, if the destiny is not set, people will try their best to change and develop their destiny.
But we don’t know the answer. And many people believe in destiny. Usually people who want to blame their life believe in destiny. And then when we entrust our life to our destiny, science will lost its power and diviner, physiognomist, or namer will get their power.
All things have their own name. Especially human got their name from others the moment of their birth. Even if the language and the country is different, the best reason that people make the name is to distinct oneself from others.
In dictionary, Naminology is explained that divination to make name which is similar to philosophy. This means our society doesn’t approve this to study. But just approve it to superstition or divination.
But many people want to make a good name to their baby, so they go famous naming center. But it is hard to judge what is good name, because there are too many theory about naming. In Korean, there are also so many methods of Naming. Like this, because there are too many methods of naming and theories, people make the name differently, and this drop the trust of Naminology, and people treat Naminology not study but superstition.
So in this studies, I am going to find out the theories of Naminology as a study, and I am going to analysis about the effect to one’s destiny. And I will find out the social influences of Naminology. So someday soon, in dictionary, the definition of Naminology will be like this. ‘The good and bad of name is related to destiny, and study of making or interpreting the name.”
