數理姓名學과 周易姓名學의 비교 硏究

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As a study to research what the name of people influences on fate, study of the name is a kind of the study of naming which has various usage characteristics, from sex distinction, family composition, and broad division of family, including the titles which basically distinguishing people. However, study of the name is an expansive study of name making in which fateful concept of take-good luck/avoid-ill event is included beyond brand-naming, which is simply a naming of BI(Brand Identity).
In addition, expansive study of naming means the fortune concept which blends reasoning system of take-good luck/avoid ill-event in likes and dislikes in a unique appellation aspect in naming. That is, it has developed not to a simple study of naming, but to the study of name as it focuses on postnatal better fortune by supplementing insufficient spirit to the name after analyzing inherent fortune and destiny.
But, unfortunately literary theory or source of current study of name, except principle basis such as naming with five line character in ordinal meaning upon generation name of each family name, are all that of modern time, and we have to agree that it is rather insufficient in theoretical base and rationality of logic to connect with study as theories upon each division or the time trend of literature. Because of this study of name is high in value as a study of naming, but its value of fate study is relatively undervalued, and its controversy will not be easily disappeared.
There are divine study of name/Yin-Yang study of name/undulate study of name/Cheokjapa study of name/resources five line study of name, beside mathematical principle study of name and Book of Changes study of name in our country, which this study is going to compare and examine, and many kinds of study of name, like Hangeul study of name, are used. Analyzing these theories shows us that they mostly use methodology, like applying Yin-Yang and Five Elements theory and 81 Youngdong mathematical principle as a composition principle or additionally applying principle of Book of Changes. That is, it is summarized that the kinds of study of name is classified according to applying of Yin-Yang and Five Elements theory, mathematics principle theory, and『Book of Changes』.
Thus, as a division upon composition theory, this study is going to name the range of study of name which uses mathematics principle as a central theory as mathematics principle study of name, and the study of name which applies principle of 『Book of Changes 』 as Book of Changes study of name, and hereunder name them as mathematics principle study of name, Book of Changes study of name.
The purpose of this study is go suggest a developmental direction of study of name upon merits and demerits of both theories by mutually comparing mathematics principle study of name that applies Yin-Yang and Five Elements and mathematical principle and Book of Changes study of name that applies theory of Book of Changes.
Mathematics principle study of name takes 81 Youngdong mathematical principle as the base of composition theory in view of the study, but using it being unable to suggest the base of it should be the problem, though dividing of four cases won/hyeong/lee/jeong) is applied as principle of naming with important meaning, as there are many suggestions about distortion and inconsistency in principle an meaning of such theories in advance studies and academic circles.
So this study examined appropriateness and logical propriety of such theory by proving of theoretical base and taking cases of naming through literary analysis about Youngdong mathematical principle. Also this study examined literary meaning of won/hyeong/lee/jeong and correlation with study of name in publishing to Gua of heaven and earth in 『Book of Changes 』.
We can say that, similar with mathematics principle study of name, the characteristics of Book of Changes study of name applies Yin-Yang and Five Elements and mathematical principle as a core theory, and judges rise and fall of name through shape of Book of Changes gua made by applying mathematical principle of full name characters.
Shape of 『Book of Changes 』 gua is a meaning or environment before shaping of hyeong as counter part in response to hyeong. Name also is a shape already existed before hyeong of character appeared.
As a result gua of 『Book of Changes』 abstraction of gua is realized through hyeong, that is, name as a symbol of law of nature, which is more advanced than the definition of sign promised like language, password, and random numbers.
In study about correlation between 『Book of Changes』 and name, this study frankly admit that there is limitation due to insufficient literary historical records and advanced studies, and as an alternative demonstrated as a quantitative study with examples of naming as a research method for synchronicity principle.
As conclusion this study is going to make a developmental base for institutional study of name along with rationality and feasibility by introducing and combining advantages of Book of Changes study of name as a methodology to supplement contradiction and limitation of mathematics principle study of name, which is currently mostly used. This study expects what‘s insufficient in this study would become an advanced study in the future, and would become a small origin and base of continuous study of next generation

국문 초록 (Abstract)

姓名學은 사람의 이름이 運命에 어떤 영향을 주는지를 연구하는 학문으로서 기본적으로는 사람을 분별하는 呼稱을 비롯해 남녀의 구별과 가족구성 및 家門의 大別에 이르기까지 다양한 용도적 특성을 가진 製名學의 일종이다. 그러나 성명학은 단순히 BI(Brand Identity) 개념의 製名인 브랜드-네이밍의 차원을 넘어 운명적 趣吉避凶의 개념이 포함된 擴張적 製名學이다.
확장적 제명학을 附言하면 이름을 제명함에 있어서 고유의 呼名적 측면에서 好不好의 趣吉避凶의 思惟체계를 融合한 운명학적 개념을 일컬음이다. 즉 先天的으로 타고난 운명의 四柱八字를 분석하여 이에 부족한 기운을 이름에 보완하여 後天的 開運에 主眼한 까닭에 단순 제명학이 아닌 성명학으로 발전된 것이다.
그러나 아쉽게도 현재 성명학은 각 성씨별 문중의 항렬에 따른 序數적 의미의 오행 글자로 제명하는 등의 원리적 기준을 제외한 문헌적 이론이나 出典은 모두 근대의 것으로 이는 모두 각 문파 또는 시대적 思潮에 따른 이론들로서 학문에 연계하기엔 비교적 이론의 근거와 논리의 합리성이 솔직히 결여됨을 부인하지 않을 수 없다. 이러한 사유로 성명학은 제명학으로서의 가치성은 높으나 운명학적 가치는 상대적으로 저평가되기도 하거니와 논란의 여지는 쉽게 不息되지 않으리라 본다.
우리나라에서 통용되고 있는 성명학은 연구자가 비교 검토하고자 하는 數理姓名學과 周易姓名學 외에도 用神姓名學‧陰陽五行姓名學‧波動姓名學‧仄字破字姓名學‧字源五行姓名學 등이 있으며, 한글을 이용한 한글姓名學 등 多種의 姓名學이 통용되고 있는 실정이다. 이들 이론을 분석하면 대부분 陰陽五行論과 81靈動數理를 구성 원리를 적용하거나 周易의 원리를 추가 적용하는 등의 방법론을 활용하고 있음을 볼 수 있다. 즉 음양오행론과 수리론 그리고 『周易』의 원리 적용 與否에 따라 성명학의 종류가 분류되는 것으로 요약된다.
이에 본 연구자는 연구에 앞서 성명학의 명칭에 대해서 그 구성원리에 따른 구분으로 數理論을 중심이론으로 사용하고 있는 성명학의 범주를 數理姓名學으로 명칭하고, 『周易』의 원리를 중심이론으로 적용하고 있는 성명학을 周易姓名學이라고 命名하고, 이하 논문에서는 數理姓名學, 周易姓名學이라 한다.
본 論文은 성명학에 있어서 음양오행과 수리를 구성 원리로 적용한 수리성명학과 『周易』의 원리를 적용한 주역성명학을 상호 비교하여 兩論의 長短에 따른 성명학의 발전적 방향을 제시하는데 연구의 목적이 있다.
연구의 관점에 있어서 수리성명학은 81靈動數理를 구성이론의 바탕으로 삼고 있으나 그 이론의 원리와 의미가 歪曲되고 矛盾됨이 선행연구와 學界에서 적지 않게 提起되고 있거니와, 4格의 元格‧亨格‧利格‧貞格의 구분 역시 중요한 의미를 두고 作名의 원리로 적용하고 있으나 이에 대한 근거 역시 제시하지 못하고 사용하고 있음은 문제가 아닐 수 없다.
이에 연구자는 영동수리에 대한 문헌적 분석을 통해 이론적 근거를 昭明하고 작명의 사례를 들어 그 이론의 적합성과 논리적 타당성 여부를 고찰하였다. 그리고 元亨利貞은 『周易』의 乾坤의 卦辭에 出典하는데 원형이정의 문헌적 의미와 성명학과의 상관성에 대해서도 고찰하였다.
周易姓名學은 數理姓名學과 마찬가지로 음양오행과 수리론을 핵심이론으로 적용하고, 姓名字의 수리를 응용하여 作卦된 周易卦의 象을 통하여 姓名의 吉凶悔吝을 판단하는 것이 특징이라고 할 수 있다.
『周易』괘의 象은 形과 對應하는 待對관계로서 形이 형성되기 전의 의미나 환경이다. 이름 역시 글자라는 形이 드러나기 전에 이미 존재하던 象인 것이다.
결국『周易』의 卦象은 언어나 暗號, 亂數表와 같은 記號의 약속된 定義 보다 進化된 자연의 법칙 符號로서, 卦象이 갖는 抽象은 이름자 즉 성명이라는 形을 통해 具象된다.
본 논문은『周易』과 姓名과의 相關性에 대한 硏究에 있어서 문헌적 史料와 선행연구의 미흡에 따른 한계점이 있음을 솔직히 고백하고, 이에 대한 代案으로 共時性原理의 연구방법으로서 작명의 사례를 들어 量的硏究로 論證하였다.
결론으로 본 논문은 현재 가장 많이 활용하고 있는 수리성명학의 모순과 한계점을 보완하기 위한 방법론으로서 주역성명학의 장점을 도입 融合하여 합리성과 타당성이 겸비된 制度圈的 성명학의 발전적 土臺를 이루고자함에 있다. 본 연구에서 미흡한 부분은 훗날 진보된 연구로 기약 하고자 하며, 모쪼록 본 연구가 후학의 연구에 있어 작은 始原이 되길 바라며 지속된 연구의 土壤이 되길 기대한다.
