건곤괘의 삼재지도에 관한 연구 = A Study on The Way of Three Fundamental Power in Geongongwae

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is set to investigate Moralities of Samjae, which means the sky, the earth and the human, on the basis of Geongongwae, the top symbol written in the I Ching and reveal the change and the reason in nature and human. This study is also designed to consider the moral principle of modern people by linking Geongongwae and Moralities of Samjae with real life. Through Gwaesa and Hyosa from Geongongwae this study shows the judgement and direction of human history and examines human morality and practical thinking of changes by comparing morality with Samjae, which means the sky, the earth and the human.
This study seeks for a basis to set up ground which finds out Yin and Yang of Sun morality and hardness and softness of Earth morality and humanity and justice of Human morality and learns Geon morality, Gon morality and succeeds morality and broadens Karma. Focusing justice and entering Sinmyo is a way to understand Geon and Gon. To make a precaution of the movement of Sun and Earth people should know Geon morality and Gon morality and the method to meet Moralities of Samjae. People also should know that he or she is the one with nature by restoring morality inside himself or herself and follow the Sun morality and make a acurate and stable training. People is the one with nature human can eventually accomplish the ultimate morality and learn the reason of everything.
The I Ching says a leader uniting the sun with the earth as 'Great Man'. The Great Man is thought as a person who completes morality. Geonmuneonjeon says that the person is able to unite the morality with the sun and the earth and brightness with the sun and the moon and the procedure with the Four Times. Uniting the morality with the sun and the earth, the person joins what the sun and the earth grow. Harmonizing the name of everything makes all better and the morality united with the virtue to melt into the flow of the sun morality. Human exists in the middle of the universe, a spacious heaven and becomes the most important medium between them.
Understanding the principle of the change written in the I Ching gives us a guiding light to face a specific situation adequately in our living history. The principle has a universal philosophy for itself, though, it is a storage for knowledge by solving 64 Gwaes and 384 Hyos and judging various human histories and figuring out directions. They are the best preparations for conduct of life. The principle of ‘Wujibifan’ is that everything in the world must reverse at the extreme.
The object to study I Ching is to feel any flow of everything by knowing the truth of ‘change’, adapt the flow, obtain the knowledge of life, survive chaotic times and maintain our identity in the middle of changes. With no regard to our mind a method, to find out our identity in the swirl of unexpected changes is to know the sun, the earth and the human. It is the morality of Samjae and knowing the reason for Samjae is a way to figure out the ultimate answer of life by making a reasonable life for the reason of Moralities of Samjae.
The universe written in I Ching seems that Samjae have their own specific role. in relative relationship which means that balance and harmony coexist. However, human beings cannot reach the ultimate point when they avoid the notion of 'one' with an attitude adapting themselves to the morality of nature. This study finds out an answer to solve and realize universe morality adapted to practical society through I Ching, which tells truth of Great Nature and harmony among Samjae. This study also writes that human beings try to resemble the sun, the earth and the nature, have an example of the appearance of Geon and Gon, take an attitude to rule their own body and mind to set up their identity through mind control and unite the sun with them.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문의 목적은 『周易』의 首卦인 乾坤卦를 중심으로 天․地․人 三才之道를 살펴봄으로써 자연과 인간의 변화와 생성되는 이치를 규명해 보고자 하는데 있다. 또한 건곤괘와 삼재지도를 현실생활과 연계하여 현대적 인간의 도덕적 가치와 수양적 측면을 재조명해 보고자 한다. 즉 건곤괘의 卦辭와 爻辭를 통해 인간사의 진단 및 나아갈 방향을 제시하고 나아가 天․地․人 三才의 道를 사람의 道에 부합시켜 비교 연구함으로써 인간의 도덕적 가치와 易의 실천적 사고를 연구하고자 한다.
天道의 陰陽과 地道의 剛柔, 人道의 仁義의 합일을 깨달아 乾道와 坤道를 체득하면 德을 존숭하고 業을 넓힐 수 있는 바탕을 세울 수 있는 근간을 살펴보았다. 이러한 건도와 곤도를 체득하는 방편으로는 義理를 집중하고 신묘한데 들어가는 것이다. 건곤의 도를 체득하여 三才의 道에 합일하는 방법을 깨달아서 천도 운행의 조짐과 기미를 미리 알아서 미연에 예방하기 위함이다. 천도에 순응하여 깨닫고 내재되어 있는 덕을 회복하므로 정밀하고도 정적인 수양을 하여 나와 자연이 하나임을 아는 것이다. 나와 자연이 하나가 되었을 때 비로소 인간이 만물의 이치에 통달하여 崇德을 이루는 것이다.
천도와 인도의 합일을 인도하는 사람을『周易』에서는 ‘大人’이라고 한다. 대인은 덕을 완성한 사람으로 간주한다. 이러한 대인의 덕을 완성한 사람을 「乾文言傳」에서는 ‘천지와 더불어 그 덕을 합하며, 日月과 더불어 밝음을 합하고, 四時와 더불어 그 차례를 합한다’고 말하였다. 대인은 천지와 그 도를 합일하였으므로 천지의 化育에 동참한다. 마침내 만물의 성명을 保合太和하여 모두를 이롭게 하고, 스스로 道와 德에 합일을 이루어 천도의 흐름에 자연스럽게 조화를 이룬다. 인간은 우주라는 광활한 천체 속에서 존재하면서 중간에서 가장 중요한 매개체가 되는 것이다.
『주역』에서 말하는 변화의 원리를 깨닫게 되면 인간사의 구체적 상황에서 적절하게 처신할 수 있는 지침을 얻을 수 있다. 또한 자체로도 우주적인 철학을 담고 있지만 64卦와 384爻 풀이를 통해서 각각의 다양한 인간사를 진단하고 나아갈 방향을 제시해 주므로 지혜의 창고라 할 수 있다. 천지 만물이 변화하는 궁극의 원리를 밝히고, 이 변화에 대처하는 인간의 처세를 담은 최선의 대비책이라 할 수 있다. 세상만사 만물은 그 발전이 극에 달하면 반드시 반전한다는 ‘物極必反’의 이치를 깨닫게 해준다.
『주역』을 공부하는 목적은 ‘易’의 도리를 깨달아 만사 만물의 흐름을 감지하고 그 흐름 속에서 순응하면서 인생의 지혜를 얻고자함이며 한 치의 앞도 예측할 수 없는 불확실한 시대의 난세에서 살아남고 변화의 소용돌이에서 중심을 지켜내는 방법을 알 수 있기 때문이다. 내 의지와는 상관없이 한 치의 앞을 모르는 변화의 상황 속에서 중심을 찾아가는 방법은 하늘․땅․사람을 아는 것이다. 그것이 바로 삼재의 도이며, 그 삼재의 이치를 깨달아 삼재의 도의 이치에 합당하게 살아가는 데에서 궁극적인 삶의 방법을 찾는다 할 수 있다.
『주역』에서 말하는 우주는 천․지․인 삼재가 서로 각자의 다른 고유한 역할을 가지고 있는듯하면서도 공존하는 균형과 조화의 상관적 관계에서 인간은 자연스럽게 자연의 도에 부합하는 자세로 ‘하나’라는 관념을 벗어나서는 극치점에 도달할 수 없다는 것이다. 대자연의 진리와 천지인의 조화를 말하고 있는 주역을 통해서 사회에 실제적으로 적용을 하여 보편적 도덕성을 구현하고 해결할 수 있는 방안을 모색하고 천지자연을 통해서 닮고자 노력하는 즉 건곤의 象을 본보기로 삼아서 인간들의 끝없는 인격 형성을 위한 수양적 내면의 성찰과 방법을 끊임없이 自彊不息하는 자세로 임하여 살아가는 길만이 천인의 합일을 이룰 수 있게 된다는 것이 이 논문의 요지이다.
