The purpose of this study is to examine the related literature and documents, to interview the related actors and local residents, and them to explore the policy implications.
More specifically, I try to illustrate the research background and purpose, to suggest the research methods, and to review the existing literature in ChapterⅠ. In Chapter Ⅱ, an a theoretical review, I deal with social capital issues, mini libraries and the relationships network social capital and functional community issues. In Chapter Ⅲ, I analyze the condition and mini libraries and suggest the research framework. In Chapter Ⅳ, I try to analyze the actual conditions and mini libraries in Daegu, particularly focused upon the relationships between social capital functional community hypothesis.
In Chapter Ⅴ, I conclude this study and suggest a couple of research limitations.
