대학생의 부모 애착과 생활 스트레스가 인터넷 중독에 미치는 영향

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생의 부모 애착과 생활 스트레스가 인터넷 중독에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 대구·경북지역 남·녀 대학생 315명을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 측정도구는 부모 애착 척도, 생활 스트레스 척도, 인터넷 중독 척도를 활용하여 자료를 수집하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 인터넷 중독 현황 분석 결과, 전체 비율은 남성이 여성 보다 높았지만 잠재적 위험 사용자군에 있어서는 여성의 비율이 다소 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 인구통계학적 특성 및 이용특성별 인터넷 중독 차이를 분석한 결과에 있어 성별, 학년, 경제수준, 생활만족도에 따른 인터넷 중독 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 반면 평일과 주말 인터넷 사용시간, 인터넷 사용 1순위와 인터넷 중독 차이는 유의미하게 나타났다. 셋째, 부모 애착과 생활 스트레스 척도 하위영역이 인터넷 중독에 영향을 미치는지 다변인 회귀분석으로 분석한 결과 부모 애착 척도 하위영역인 소외감과 생활 스트레스 척도 하위영역인 당면과제차원이 인터넷 중독에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 생활 스트레스 척도 하위영역이 부모 애착 척도 하위영역에 비해 높은 상관을 보였다. 이는 대학생들의 인터넷 중독에는 생활 스트레스가 부모 애착에 비해 보다 중요하게 영향을 미친다고 할 수 있겠다.
이러한 결과를 바탕으로 심각성과 중요성이 커지는 대학생의 인터넷 중독과 관련한 상담과 예방 프로그램 개발 변인에 부모 애착과 생활 스트레스도 중요하게 고려될 필요성이 있다고 보이며, 단순히 인터넷 중독 자체의 표면적 문제가 아닌 그 내면의 수많은 원인에 대한 연구의 필요성을 제언하였다는 것에 의의를 둔다.

This study conducted survey among 315 male and female college students in Daegu-Gyeongbuk region to find out the effects of parent attachment and life stress on Internet addiction. Parent attachment scale, life stress scale, and Internet addiction scale were used as measurement tools to collect the data and the results are as follows.
Firstly, Internet addiction analysis showed higher percentage of males in total proportion, yet potential risks were slightly higher among females. Secondly, analysis of demographic characteristics and difference in internet addiction due to user characteristics showed no difference in Internet addiction by gender, grade, economic level, and living satisfaction. However, weekday and weekend time for Internet use, Internet use priority, and Internet addiction difference appeared to be relevant. Thirdly, after analyzing the effects of the subdomains of parent attachment and life stress scales on Internet addiction through multivariate regression analysis, alienation, which is a subdomain of parent attachment scale, and level of facing problems, which is a subdomain of life stress scale, were shown to be affecting Internet addiction. Also, subdomains of life stress scale showed higher correlation than the subdomains of parent attachment. This may be understood that life stress affects Internet addiction of college students more significantly than parental attachment.
These results show that there is a need to significantly consider parental attachment and life stress in relation to Internet addiction of college students, which is getting more serious and significant, for the developmental factors of a prevention program. The study suggests the necessity to investigate not only the surface problems of Internet addiction but the internal causes as well.
