The purpose of this study was to examine the modality of anirijo doseop of Gangsanje Simcheongga. Although 「doseop」 is an imprompt musical technique of pansori and a very crucial element in the completion of artistry of pansori, it is learned in the actual scene of pansori education only with the mark, ‘to place jangdans’, without dividing it by the functions of doseop. On this account, pansori performers do not recognize the existence of 「anirijo doseop」 sufficiently.
Preceding studies have sorted out its function-oriented kinds, but they are incorrect in the definition criteria of doseop. In this regard, this study was initiated to review it and settle down these existing problems, thus finding out a correct name of doseop and classifying its kinds according to its functions.
Doseop could be classified into 3 kinds: (1) 「a free rhythm-based doseop」 which describes situations and gives a lot of jokes within the phrase of pansori focusing on melodies; (2) 「an anirijo doseop」 which is mainly performed with aniri-type narrations while chang (singing) is performed within the phrase of pansori; and (3) 「a free rhythm-oriented anirijo doseop」 which is a combination of a free rhythm-oriented doseop and an anirijo doseop.
The anirijo doseop of Gangsanje Simcheongga could be classified into 6 kinds based on the types of lyrics, such as a colloquial form, an onomatopoeic form, a mimetic form, a narrative form, a descriptive form, a literary form and a mixed form, and all of them had their own characteristics.

The number of letters was most frequently utilized in jungmori. The cadence type of lyrics was descending cadence in general. Most of them were placed not in the first and last part but in the middle part and the use of interval was active.
