아버지와 자녀의 여가활동과 자녀 행복감의 관계 : 아버지와 자녀 친밀감의 매개효과를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 아버지와 자녀의 여가활동과 아버지와 자녀의 친밀감 및 자녀 행복감의 관계를 살펴보고, 아버지와 자녀의 여가활동이 아버지와 자녀 친밀감을 경유해 자녀의 행복감에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보았다. 즉, 아버지와 자녀의 여가활동이 자녀의 행복감에 미치는 영향에 있어 아버지와 자녀의 친밀감의 매개효과를 검증함으로써, 아버지와의 관계를 향상시켜 자녀의 행복이 증진되는 효과를 실증적으로 규명하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 가정 내에서 아버지들이 자녀와의 여가활동을 통해 양육에 참여하고, 아버지의 역할을 실천적으로 해나가며 나아가 자녀와의 관계를 개선하는데 기여하고자 한다. 궁극적으로 본 연구를 통해 가정에서 아동의 발달권과 행복권이 인정되고 보장받으며, 아동의 행복감을 고양하는 방안을 제시하고자 한다.
이를 위해 층화 표본추출과 편의 표본추출을 통해 서울시 25개 지역구 중 5개 구를 선정하여 총 5개 초등학교에 재학 중인 10-13세 아동을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 최종적으로 549부의 표본을 SPSS 22.0 프로그램과 AMOS 22.0 프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였다.
분석방법으로 첫째, 연구참여자의 인구사회학적 특성과 측정변수에 대한 요약된 정보를 도출하기 위한 기술통계를 실행했으며, 측정변수간 관계를 파악하기 위해 Pearson 상관관계 분석을 실시했다. 둘째, 아버지와 자녀의 여가활동, 친밀감, 아동의 행복감의 전체적인 경로를 살펴보고 친밀감의 매개효과를 살펴보기 위해 잠재변수를 활용한 구조모형에 대한 분석이 이루어졌다. 또한, 아버지와 자녀의 여가활동과 아동의 행복감의 관계에서 아버지 자녀의 친밀감의 매개효과를 검증하기 위해 부트스트래핑(Bootstrapping) 방법을 활용하였다.
이러한 분석방법을 통해 도출한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다
첫 번째, 주요 변인들 간에 상관관계를 살펴본 결과, 아버지-자녀 여가활동, 아버지-자녀 친밀감, 자녀의 행복감의 세 주요 변수들 간에 서로 밀접한 연관이 있는 것으로 나타났다.
두 번째, 아버지와 자녀의 여가활동이 아동의 행복감에 미치는 영향에서 아버지-자녀의 친밀감은 부분매개효과를 가지는 것을 증명하였다. 이러한 매개효과는 부트스트랩을 통해 최종적으로 검증되었다. 이는 아버지와 자녀의 여가활동이 직접적으로 아동의 행복감에 영향을 미치기도 하지만 아버지와 자녀의 친밀감을 통한 간접경로로도 영향력을 행사하는 것을 의미한다.
본 연구는 아버지의 역할을 현실적으로 제고하고, 가정에서 용이하게 할 수 있는 양육 참여 활동을 제시하여 자녀와의 관계를 개선하는 실천적 방안을 검증했다는 의미를 가진다. 특히 제도적으로나 교육현장에서 아동의 행복권, 발달권의 중요성을 강조하고 이를 향상시키기 위한 부모 교육을 제공하는 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 의의를 가진다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study figured out the relationship between the father-child leisure activities and the father-child intimacy & the happiness of children and examined about the influence of the father-child leisure activities upon the happiness of children by way of the father-child intimacy. In other words, the aim was to empirically examine closely the effects of the improvement in the relationship with a father on the promotion in happiness of children by verifying the mediating effects of the father-child intimacy in the influence of the father-child leisure activities upon the happiness of children. Through the results of this study, the aim is to contribute to which the fathers in the home participate in parenting through the leisure activities with children, proceed with practically playing a father's role, and further improve the relationship with children. Ultimately, a plan aims to be suggested for which the children's right to development and happiness is recognized and secured at home and for which the importance in happiness of children can be emphasized and enhanced.
To do this, 5 wards were selected among 25 districts in Seoul Metropolis through the stratified sampling and the convenience sampling. The questionnaire was conducted targeting children at the ages of 10-13(3rd-6th grade) who are attending totally 5 elementary schools. 549 copies of the sample were finally analyzed by utilizing SPSS 22.0 program and AMOS 22.0 program.
As for an analytical method, first, the descriptive statistics were carried out in order to elicit the summarized information on socio-demographic characteristics and measurement variables in the research participants. To grasp the relationship among measurement variables, Pearson's correlation analysis was implemented. Second, to inspect the whole routes of the father-child leisure activities, intimacy, and happiness of children and to look at the mediating effects of intimacy, the analysis on a structural model was made with the application of latent variables. Also, to verify the mediating effects of father-child intimacy in the relationship between the father-child leisure activities and the happiness of children, Bootstrapping method was applied.
Summarizing the results that were drawn through this analytical method, they are as follows.
Firstly, as a result of examining correlation among major variables, the mutually close association was shown among three major variables in father-child leisure activities, father-child intimacy, and happiness of children.
Secondly, in the influence of father-child leisure activities upon happiness of children, the father-child intimacy was proved to have a partial mediating effect. This mediating effect was finally inspected through Bootstrapping. This implies that the father-child leisure activities have direct influence upon happiness of children, but exercise influence even with an indirect route through the father-child intimacy.
This study has a significance in having verified a practical plan of improving relationship with children by realistically improving a father's role and by suggesting the parenting involvement activity available for being done easily at home. Especially, there is a significance in being able to be utilized as basic data that institutionally emphasizes the importance of children's right to happiness and development in the educational field and offers the parental education for enhancing this.
