악기를 활용한 음악적 감성교육이 유아의 정서지능과 행복감에 미치는 효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 만 5세 유아의 정서지능과 행복감에 효과를 미칠 수 있는 악기를 활용한 음악적
감성교육을 만 5세 유아들에게 적용해보아 악기를 활용한 음악적 감성교육이 유아의 정서지능과 행복감에 어떠한 효과를 미치는지 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 이와 같은 연구의 목적에 따라 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다.


1. 악기를 활용한 음악적 감성교육이 유아의 정서지능에 미치는 효과는 어떠한가?
2. 악기를 활용한 음악적 감성교육이 유아의 행복감에 미치는 효과는 어떠한가?


본 연구 대상은 서울시에 위치한 사립유치원 만 5세반 유아 24명을 대상으로 배정하였다.
연구도구는 유아의 정서지능을 측정하기 위하여 Salovey와 Mayer(1996)가 고안한 것을 수정. 보완하여 이병래(1997)가 제작한 유아정서지능 검사지를 사용하여 연구 자료를 수집하였다. 유아의 행복감을 측정하기 위하여 이은주(2009)가 개발한 유아행복 측정 설문지를 선택하여 사용하였다. 실험절차는 사전검사, 실험처치, 사후검사 순으로 이루어졌으며 실험집단은 본 연구자의 정서지능과 행복감에 미치는 효과를 위한 악기를 활용한 음악적 감성교육을 실시하였다.


악기를 활용한 음악적 감성교육이 유아의 정서지능과 행복감에 미치는 효과를 살펴보기 위하여 SPSS 18.0 통계프로그램 이용하여 악기를 활용한 음악적 감성교육 참여 전과 참여 후의 유아 정서지능과 행복감 검사 점수를 산출하여 대응표본 t 검정(paired t test)을 실시하였으며, 통계적 검증을 위한 유의수준은 α=.05에서 검정하였다.


본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.

첫째, 악기를 활용한 음악적 감성교육은 유아의 정서지능에 미치는 효과가 있다. 그 중 악기를 활용한 음악적 감성교육이 유아의 정서지능 하위영역 중 자기조절 능력에서 긍정적 효과가 있었다고 할 수 있다.
따라서, 악기를 활용한 음악적 감성교육이 유아의 정서지능에 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

둘째, 악기를 활용한 음악적 감성교육은 유아의 행복감에 미치는 효과가 있다. 그 중 악기를 활용한 음악적 감성교육은 유아의 행복감 하위영역 중 또래관계, 정서 영역에서 긍정적 효과가 있었다고 할 수 있다.
따라서, 악기를 활용한 음악적 감성교육이 유아의 행복감에 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

이와 같은 연구결과는 본 연구에서 실험한 만 5세 유아의 정서지능과 행복감을 위한 악기를 활용한 음악적 감성교육 적용이 유아의 정서지능과 행복감 증진에 효과적임을 알 수 있다. 이는 유아의 정서지능과 행복감 증진을 위하여 다양한 매개체를 활용한 감성교육의 개발. 연구의 필요성과 이에 연계하는 이론적 탐색의 근거를 지원하였음에 그 가치가 있으며 나아가 실제 유아교육 현장에 의미 있는 교수. 활동 내용으로 적용 될 수 있는 활용 가능성을 시사하고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to inquire about how musical emotional education based on instruments influences on emotional intelligence and sense of happiness of children, through musical emotional education by applying musical instruments to five-year-olds that can possibly influence children's emotional intelligence and sense of happiness.

For the purpose of this study, the research problems have been proposed as follows:

1. What are the influences of musical emotional education based on instruments on emotional intelligence of children?

2. What are the influences of musical emotional education based on instruments on sense of happiness of children?

The research target has been selected with 24 children of five-olds- class of private kindergartens located in Seoul. In order to measure emotional intelligence of children, as a research tool, I have collected the research data by using inventory of emotional intelligence of children designed by Byongrae Lee (1997) which is the modified and supplemented version of Salovey and Mayer (1996).
So as to measure children's sense of happiness, I have selected a questionnaire of detection of children's happiness developed by Eunjoo Lee (2009).
The test process was composed of three stages: preliminary examination, test treatment and post test, in addition, instrument-applying musical emotional education has been carried out with the test group to verify its real influences on emotional intelligence and happiness of targeted children.

In order to inquire about the effectiveness of instrument-applying musical emotional education on emotional intelligence and sense of happiness of children, I have used SPSS 18.0 statistics program and I have computed the check score of emotional intelligence and happiness of children by comparing the results of before and after participation in this test of musical emotional education based on instruments. In addition, a paired samples t-test has been carried out. The significance level for statistical verification has been tested at α=.05.

The findings of this study are as follows:

First, the musical emotional education based on instruments gives influences on emotional intelligence of children. To be specific, the instrument-applying musical emotional education gives positive influences on the ability of self-control among sub factors of emotional intelligences of children. Therefore, it is confirmed that musical emotional education based on instruments gives positive influences on emotional intelligence of children.

Second, the musical emotional education based on instruments gives influences on sense of happiness of children. To be specific, the instrument-applying musical emotional education gives positive influences on peer relationship and emotional area among sub factors of happiness of children. Therefore, it is ascertained that musical emotional education based on instruments gives positive influences on sense of happiness of children.


The findings of this study show that the application of instrument-based musical emotional education aiming emotional intelligence and sense of happiness of five-year-olds who have been in the test gives effective influences on improvement of their emotional intelligence and sense of happiness. In order to improve emotional intelligence and sense of happiness of children, the true value of this study lies not only in eliciting the necessity of developing emotional education based on diverse means and further follow-up research, but also, in providing the grounds for the associated theoretical inquiries. Furthermore, this study suggests the possibility of its expanded application in the practical field of Early Childhood Education as significant teaching method and activity contents.
