자연물을 활용한 악기다루기 프로그램이 유아의 음악적 창의성 및 자연친화적 태도에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of a Musical Instrument Program Using Natural Objects on Young Children’s Musical Creativity and Nature Friendly Attitude

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 자연물을 활용한 악기다루기 프로그램이 유아의 음악적 창의성과 자연친화적 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 대구광역시에 위치한 A, B유치원의 만 5세 학급 40명의 유아를 대상으로 실험집단과 통제집단을 동수로 구성하였다. 실험집단에게 자연물을 활용한 악기다루기 프로그램을 10주간 20회 실시하였으며, 통제집단은 누리과정에 기초한 생활주제와 관련된 음악활동을 실시하였다. 연구도구는 Wang(1985)이 개발한 음악적 창의성 검사와 Musser와 Diamond(1999)가 개발한 자연친화적 태도 검사를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 공분산분석을 실시하여 집단 간 차이를 분석하였다.
본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자연물을 활용한 악기다루기 프로그램을 실시한 실험집단이 통제집단보다 유아의 음악적 창의성 전체점수 및 하위요인에서 유의미하게 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 자연물을 활용한 악기다루기 프로그램을 실시한 실험집단이 통제집단보다 유아의 자연친화적 태도 전체점수 및 하위요인에서 유의미하게 높게 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 자연물을 활용한 악기다루기 프로그램이 유아의 음악적 창의성과 자연친화적 태도 향상에 효과적임을 시사한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a musical instrument program using natural objects on young children’s musical creativity and nature friendly attitude. The subjects of this study consisted of 40 children of 5-year-old classrooms from two kindergartens located in Daegu city who comprised of the experimental and control groups. The experimental group participated in the program using natural objects as musical instruments for a total of 20 times during 10 weeks, while the control group experienced only musical activities based on the Nuri curriculum. The tools used in this study were the Musical Creativity Scale by Wang(1985) and the Nature Friendly Attitude Scale by Musser and Diamond(1999). The collected data was analyzed using ANCOVA to identify the differences between the groups.
The results of this study were as follows: First, the total score of children‘s musical creativity and its sub-categories in the experimental group that participated in the program using natural objects were significantly increased compared to the control group. Second, the total score of children’s nature friendly attitude and its sub-categories in the experimental group were significantly improved compared to the control group. The results indicated that by using natural objects as musical instruments, this program was effective for increasing children‘s musical creativity and nature friendly attitude of young children.
