(Abstract)
The purpose of this study was to look into difficulties of itinerant teachers and improvement on inclusive itinerant education.
The semi-structure questionnaire was conducted individually with seven itinerant teachers who had worked for special education support center. On this study, itinerant teachers realized necessities of inclusive itinerant education, however they had difficulties in managing that education. The results of this study were as follows.
First, it was more effective that inclusive teachers developed Individualized Education Plans(IEP) than itinerant teachers did. Second, assurance of the proper time and physical environment for teaching was significant on managing itinerant education. Third, maintaining a close cooperation with itinerant teachers and teachers in inclusive classrooms was the effective way for successful itinerant education. Fourth, at the national level, specific guidelines and manuals on a teaching method on itinerant education had to be developed. Fifth, it was important for itinerant teachers to secure expertise on special education. Sixth, teachers had to discuss about accountability and achievement on the itinerant education. Seventh, it was crucial for school administrators, teachers in inclusive classrooms and itinerant teachers to change their attitudes regarding itinerant education, also to build and maintain their relationships. According to the result, the next research was suggested on some issues about inclusive itinerant education.
