교수설계 변인이 학습자 핵심역량에 미치는 영향 : 학습참여의 매개효과 = Effects of Instructional Design Factors in Learner's Key Competency

국문 초록 (Abstract)

경제, 사회적으로 급변하는 지식기반사회에서 학습자는 사실이나 절차의 습득 보다는 실생활에서 이들이 직면하는 문제들을 여러 사람들과 상호작용하면서 이 문제를 해결 해 나갈 수 있는 능력인 학습자 핵심역량을 향상시키는 것이 중요해졌다. 이러한 이유로 대학에서는 교육과정에 학습자 핵심역량을 반영하거나 개별 수업 차원에서의 교육적 지원을 통해 학습자들의 학습자 핵심역량향상을 지원하고 있다. 학습자 핵심역량 향상에 영향을 미치는 요인들은 학습자 배경, 대학의 특성, 교수설계 변인, 대학생활 참여 등이 있는데, 이 중 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 목표, 교재와 자료, 수업방법, 시험 및 과제, 평가 등 직접적인 교수학습과 관련한 교수설계 변인을 꼽을 수 있다. 더불어 대부분의 노력들은 액션러닝, 프로젝트 학습, 문제중심학습 등 학습자중심 교수학습방법을 활용하고 있고, 이는 학생들의 학습참여를 높임으로써 학습자 핵심역량 향상을 꾀하고 있다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 교수설계 변인과 학습자 핵심역량 사이의 관계에서 학습참여의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다.
연구결과, 이 세 변인은 구조적으로 유의한 관계에 있으며, 학습참여는 교수설계 변인과 학습자 핵심역량 사이를 유의하게 매개하는 것으로 분석되었다. 이는 교수설계 변인의 처치에 따라 학습자들의 학습참여를 촉진할 수 있으며, 그 결과 학습자 핵심역량을 향상시킬 수 있음을 시사한다. 또한 학습자 핵심역량에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 교수설계 변인은 참여를 촉진하는 수업방법, 학습에 도움이 되는 시험 및 과제, 학습내용을 다루고 있는 평가로 분석되었으며, 이 변인들은 또한 학습참여에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 변인으로도 분석되었다. 더불어 학습자 핵심역량에 가장 유의한 영향을 미치는 학습참여 세부요인으로는 행동적 참여, 정서적 참여, 인지적 참여의 순으로 분석되었다. 이는 현재 우리나라의 교육이 주로 인지적 참여를 강조하고 있는 상황에 대하여 재고해 볼 필요가 있음을 시사한다.
학습자 핵심역량 향상을 위해서는 학습참여를 촉진할 수 있어야 하며, 더불어 학습자 핵심역량 향상에 직간접적으로 영향을 미치는 교수설계 요인인 참여를 유발할 수 있는 수업방법의 활용, 학습에 도움이 되는 시험 및 과제, 학습내용을 반영하는 평가방법의 활용을 고려해야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In the knowledge-based society that is making swift changes economically and socially, it became more important for learners to improve learner's key competency that is the ability to interact with many people about problems faced in daily life and solve the problems rather than acquiring facts or procedures. Due to this reason, universities reflect learners' key competency in the curriculum or support learners' key competency improvement through educational support in the class level. The factors influencing learners' key competency improvement are learner's background, university characteristics, instructional design factors and participation in campus life, and the factors most influencing are instructional design factors related to direct teaching and learning such as goals, materials and data, test and task, and evaluation. Furthermore, most efforts are using the learner-centered teaching and learning methods like action learning, project learning and problem-based learning and this is considered to induce learners' key competency by improving student's learning engagement. Accordingly, this study attempted to verify the mediation effects of learning engagement in the relationship between instructional design factors and learners' key competency.
As a result of this study, it was analyzed that these 3 factors have significant relationships in structure. Also learning engagement mediates significantly between instructional design factors and learners' key competency. This suggests that learning engagement can be promoted according to the treatment of instructional design factors and as a result, improve learners' key competency. In addition, the instructional design factors giving positive effects on learners' key competency were analyzed as the teaching method promoting engagement, helpful test and task for learning and evaluation treating learning contents, and these factors were also analyzed as factors positively influencing learning engagement. Moreover, it was analyzed that the detailed factors of learning engagement giving the most significant influence on learners' key competency were behavioral engagement, emotional engagement and cognitive engagement in order. It suggests that the situation of our education that chiefly emphasizes cognitive engagement should be reconsidered.
In conclusion, it is important to promote learning engagement for improving learners' key competency and furthermore, instructional design factors that influence learners' key competency improvement should be considered ; the utilization of a teaching method that induces learning engagement, test and task helpful for learning and evaluation that reflects learning contents.
