노래 만들기(Song writing) 활용 시 음악치료사가 경험하는 어려움과 대상별 적용 현황

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 국내 음악치료사의 노래 만들기(song writing) 활용 현황에 대해 알아보는 것을 목적으로 실시되었다. 연구자가 정의한 노래 만들기는 내담자가 음악치료 세션 내에서 치료적 목적을 위해 치료사와 함께 노래를 만들어가는 일련의 과정을 의미한다. 음악치료사의 노래 만들기 활용 현황을 알아보기 위해 국내외에서 음악치료전공 석사학위를 소지하고 음악치료사 자격증을 취득한 음악치료사들을 대상으로 설문조사를 시행하였다. 설문지는 연구 대상의 임상관련 인적사항, 노래 만들기의 사용 빈도, 활용 시의 고려사항과 어려움, 대상별 주요 목적과 방법 및 구조를 묻는 질문으로 구성되었다.
연구의 결과, 설문에 참여한 72명의 음악치료사 중 62명(86%)이 자신의 임상에서 노래 만들기를 사용하고 있다고 대답하였고 노래 만들기 활용 시 주요 고려사항으로 내담자의 특성(연령, 성숙도, 인지 수준)이 33.3%로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 노래 만들기에 사용할 노래를 활용할 때 경험하는 어려움은 치료 목적에 적합한 주제와 가사를 가진 노래를 선곡하는 것이 32.6%로 가장 높게 나타났다. 노래 만들기를 임상에 적용할 때 음악치료사들이 경험하는 어려움은 내담자의 비협조적인 반응과 태도가 51.5%로 가장 높게 나타났다. 노래 만들기 활용 시 고려사항과 어려움을 묻는 문항에서는 경력별로 우선순위 및 내용의 차이가 있었다. 노래 만들기의 주요 대상은 아동(36.6%), 청소년(24.9%), 성인(21.1%), 노인(17.4%) 순이었고 모든 대상에게 빈번하게 적용되고 있는 목적은 자기표현, 자기 탐구 영역이었다. 노래 만들기의 주요 방법에 있어서는 가사창조가 음악창조에 비해 더 많이 활용되고 있었다. 노래 만들기의 구조적 특징의 경우 모든 연령대에서 구조화와 반구조화 방식이 주로 사용되고 있었다. 음악치료사들의 노래 만들기는 치료 목적과 내담자의 기능 수준을 중심으로 활용되고 있으며, 치료 목적에 적합한 주제와 가사를 가진 노래의 선곡을 중요시하고, 노래 만들기의 임상 적용 시 다양한 어려움을 경험하고 있음을 나타내고 있다. 이러한 연구결과는 노래 만들기 임상 및 연구의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is aimed at finding out the use of song writing by domestic music therapists in which a survey was performed on those who had obtained a degree of music therapy from institutions inside and outside of the country. The survey questions were composed of several items asking personal information of the study objects in relation with the clinical trials, the frequency of song writings, any considerations and difficulties involved in the use of song writing, and main purpose, method, and structure by study targets.
In the result of the survey, 62 (86%) out of 72 music therapists who had participated in the survey answered that they use song writings in their clinical trials. For the major considerations they are faced with in utilizing song writings, they answered the characteristics (age, maturity, recognition level) of the patient is the largest consideration with the rate of answer reaching to 33.3%. For the difficulties confronted in selecting the song to be used in song writings, the selection of songs with theme and lyrics appropriate for the purpose of treatment showed the highest rate to 32.6%, and for the difficulties experienced in applying the song writings to the actual clinical trial, the uncooperative responses and attitudes by the patient was the highest with 51.5%. With the question asking the considerations and difficulties involved in the use of song writings, the order of priority was different by career experience. The main targets of the song writings were infants (36.6%). adolescents (24.9%), adults (21.1%), and elderly (17.4%) in order, and the common purposes applied to all targets were areas of self-expression and self-exploration. For the key method used in song writings, the lyrics creations was utilized more than the music creation, and there showed the means of structuralization and semi-structuralization primarily used for the case of the structural characteristics. It demonstrated that the song writings of the music therapists were utilized based on the purpose of treatment as well as the functional level of the patient, stressed on the selection of songs with theme and lyrics appropriate for the purpose of treatment, and experienced with various hardships in its application to the clinical trials.
