The purpose of this research is to know why middle school students chose Meister High School, the satisfaction about the curriculum after entering high school and how they are planning for their career after taking curriculum.
Another purpose is to give information for the effective career guidance of Meister High School students through the analysis of the career decision behaviors and how social support and career decision self-efficacy influence for the Meister High School students' career preparation behaviors and career decision levels.
This study is to give some basic resources for the effective career guidance by the analysis of the career path and career decision behaviors of Meister High School students. The subjects of study were set up through the cross sectional study.
Specific subjects of study are first, how is the career path in Meister High School students? Second, what kinds of correlation are there in the career path in Meister High School students? Third, what kinds of effects do the career decision behaviors in Meister High School have? Fourth, what kinds of correlation are there in the career decision behaviors in Meister High School?
To achieve the goal of the study, I considered the theoretical background related with Meister High Schools management conditions, social support, career decision self efficacy, career preparation behaviors and career decision levels. I also revised and added through the choice of study tools.
The target of study is the cluster sampling of 810 Meister students that the Ministry of Education designated as the first and second 21 Meister High Schools.
In this study, I revised, added and used through the restructuring to be suitable for the Meister High School students. There are some inspection tools which Nolten’s Student Social Support for social support, Betz & Taylor(1983)’s Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy Scale, CDMSES-SF for career decision self-efficacy scale, Osipow(1980)’s Career Decision Scale:CDS for the career decision levels, Park, Wan-sang(2003)’s career preparation behavior.
    1. Meister High School students’ career path as follows:
First, when Meister High School students chose that school, they made a decision because of parents’ advice and mass media. Entrance motivation was that they believed that technicians would be treated better than academical cliquism.
Second, students were satisfied in their major and school life. They were worried about grading and getting a job. People showed positive attitudes such as support and encouragement towards Meister High School.
Third, students thought that they could achieve their own developments and goals for their future by getting a job. They think that even if they go to a university, they can’t get a job. They are planning to go to a university by a specialized method to increase their abilities.
    2. In the correlation about the career path of the Meister High School, the students who entered the school after understanding Meister High School Curriculum represented the meaningful results in which school life adaption and major satisfaction are high. The students who have good grades showed that school life and major satisfaction are high. The students who are satisfied with the school life and major are preparing well for a career after graduation
    3. The analysis results of Meister High School students’ career decision behaviors are as follows.
First, according to the scores of the middle school, social support, career decision self-efficacy, career decision levels, and career preparation behaviors have a relationship with one another.
