As information and communication technologies have been developed,
companies are trying to do direct marketing to consumers using QR
code without the constraints online and off-line regardless of time and
place with the popularization of mobile devices such as smartphone,
Tablet PC. With this change, it’s expected that QR code marketing
will be more strengthened in a ubiquitous environment so that the
purpose of this study is to provide the basic data for effective
marketing using QR code and strategy establishment by subdividing
consumers with their shopping orientation as theoretical approach on
current fashion products’ QR code is not attempted, by analyzing the
effects of shopping orientation and mobile flow on fashion products’
QR code characteristics, QR code attitudes, QR code use intentions and
brand attitudes.
In this study, a survey was conducted to targeted customers with an
experience of using fashion products’ QR code with mobile devices or
customers who know QR code among the men and women aged
20-30s over 8 days from April 25 to May 3, 2014 and with the total 290 of questionnaires, SPSS 19.0 was used for frequency analysis,
factor analysis, reliability analysis, multiple regression analysis.
First, as a result of factor analysis, shopping orientation was
obtained to 5 sub dimensions such as pleasure orientation, brand
orientation, convenience orientation, rationality orientation and low-cost
orientation, fashion products’ QR code characteristics were derived to 4
sub dimensions such as being informative, ease of use, playfulness and
usability. Mobile flow, QR code attitudes, QR code use intentions, and
brand attitudes were drawn to 1 factor, respectively.
Second, multiple regression analysis was carried out sequentially
according to research models and questions by the factor scores
calculated from factor analysis. As a result of analyzing the effects of
shopping orientation on fashion products’ QR code characteristics, only
‘brand orientation’ among shopping orientation factors had a significant
effect on ‘being informative’, only ‘convenience orientation’ among
shopping orientation factors had a significant influence on ‘usability’, and
all shopping orientation factors had no significant effect on ‘ease of use’
and ‘playfulness’.
Third, the factor of mobile flow on fashion products’ QR code was
‘playfulness’.
Fourth, as a factor of fashion products’ QR code characteristics on QR
code attitudes, ‘playfulness’ had the biggest effect and all characteristics
of fashion products’ QR code had a significant effect on QR code
attitudes in order of ‘ease of use’, ‘usability’, ‘being informative’.
Fifth, QR code attitudes had a positive impact on QR code use
intentions and brand attitudes with high explanatory power.
Finally, QR code use intentions had a significant influence on brand
attitudes.
In this study, it’s considered that the possibility of utilizing QR code
in experiential products such as fashion products will be more concentrated as QR code in the fashion field improves exciting
shopping experiences as well as provides shopping’s convenience and
usability without the constraints of time and place through the
analysis and it’s to present the underlying literature data in the
academic world that corporate QR code marketing strategies and
fashion products’ QR code-related studies are insufficient.
