고등학생이 지각하는 부모의 기대수준과 학업스트레스가 학업성적과 인터넷 게임중독에 미치는 영향 = The Effect of High-School Students' Perception of Parental Expectation and Academic Stress on Academic Grades and Internet Game Addiction

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 고등학생들이 부모의 학업에 대한 높은 기대와 과중한 학업스트레스로 어려움을 겪는 상황에서 비평준화지역의 입학성적이 우수한 고등학생이 지각하는 부모의 기대수준과 학업스트레스가 학업성적과 인터넷 게임중독에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보아, 청소년들이 스트레스의 도피처로 선택하는 인터넷 게임이라는 유혹으로부터 청소년들을 보호할 수 있도록 돕고자 하는데 의의를 두고 있다. 연구대상으로는 충주시 소재 C고등학교 1,2학년 총 305명을 연구 대상으로 선정하여 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 회수한 설문지 중에서 미흡한 설문지를 제외한 297부 만을 분석대상으로 하였다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 집단별 평균분석, 빈도분석, 피어슨 상관분석, t검정과 단순회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 자료 분석을 위해서는 SPSS 20.0 통계프로그램을 사용하였다.
본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 부모의 기대수준은 학업스트레스, 학업성적, 인터넷 게임중독에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 상관분석을 실시한 결과, 부모의 기대수준과 학업스트레스, 학업성적, 인터넷 게임중독은 유의미한 결과가 나타나지 않았다. 또한 t검정을 실시하여 부모의 기대수준에 따른 학업스트레스 차이와 단순회귀분석을 실시하여 부모의 기대수준이 학업스트레스에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았으나 유의미한 결과가 나타나지 않았다.
둘째, 학업스트레스는 학업성적, 인터넷 게임중독에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 상관분석을 실시한 결과, 학업스트레스와 학업성적은 p< .01수준에서, 인터넷 게임중독은 p< .05수준에서 유의미한 상관관계가 나타났다. 또한 t검정을 실시한 결과, 학업스트레스에 따른 학업성적 차이는 p< .01수준에서, 인터넷 게임중독은 p< .001수준에서 유의미한 결과가 나타났다. 단순회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 학업스트레스가 학업성적에 미치는 영향은 p< .01수준에서, 인터넷 게임중독은 p< .001수준에서 유의미한 결과가 나타났다. 그러므로 학업스트레스는 학업성적과 인터넷 게임중독에 영향을 미치는 중요한 변인임을 알 수 있었다.
이상의 연구결과를 통해 부모의 기대수준은 학업스트레스, 학업성적, 인터넷 게임중독에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났으나, 학업스트레스는 학업성적, 인터넷 게임중독에 영향을 미치는 중요한 변인임을 밝혔다는데 본 연구의 의의가 있다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 학업성적을 높이고 인터넷 게임중독을 예방하기 위해서는 가정과 학교에서 긍정적인 정서를 높여 학생들의 학업스트레스를 줄일 수 있는 정서적 지지와 교육과정이 필요함을 시사한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This research was conducted to show how parental expectation and academic stress that excellent high school students in Non-standardization area experience affected academic achievement and internet game addiction, especially under fierce competition for college entrance examination. The purpose of this research is to protect students from temptation of internet game which was chosen as a shelter from severe stress. The first and second grade high school students of C high school in Chung-ju city were chosen and carried out a survey, and 297 valid answers were used as subject of analysis except insufficient questionnaires. Group average analysis, frequency analysis, pearson correlation analysis, t-test and simple regression analysis were carried out and SPSS 20.0 statistical program also was used to analysis materials to achieve a goal of this research.
The results of this research are summarized as follows.
The first, According to results, parental expectation doesn't affect academic stress, academic grades, internet game addiction. The results of correlation analysis shows parental expectation and academic stress, academic grades, internet game addiction doesn't appear meaningful results. Also meaningful results were not shown through t-test and simple regression analysis.
The second, Academic stress affects academic grades and internet game addiction. According to correlation analysis, academic stress and grades has meaningful correlation in p< .01 and internet game addiction does in p< .05 Through t-test, academic stress affects academic grades in p< .01 and the internet game addiction does in p< .001. Under simple regression analysis, academic stress affects grades in p< .01 and the internet game addiction does in p< .001. Therefore, we can figure out that academic stress is important factor affecting academic grades and internet game addiction.
Finally, The research shows that parental expectation has little to do with the academic stress, academic grades and internet game addiction, while the academic stress is one of the major factors that affects students' academic grades and internet game addiction. This research is significant to find out this result. With the basis of research result, school and families have to enhance students' positive emotion and provide them with affective motional support and right curriculum to improve their academic grades and protect them from internet game addiction.
