중학생의 진로결정자기효능감이 인터넷 중독 경향에 미치는 영향 : 자기통제력의 매개효과를 중심으로 = The Influence of Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy to Internet Addiction Tendency of Middle School Students: Focusing on Mediating Effect of Self-Control Ability

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 중학생의 진로결정자기효능감, 자기통제력이 인터넷 중독에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 중학생의 진로결정자기효능감이 인터넷 중독에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 자기통제력의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다.
이 연구의 목적에 따라 다음과 같이 연구문제를 설정하였다.
연구문제 : 자기통제력은 진로결정자기효능감이 인터넷 중독에 미치는 영향을 매개할 것인가?
본 연구는 수도권에 위치한 1개 중학교와 지방 농촌 지역에 위치한 1개 중학교의 학생 480명을 대상으로 수행되었으며, 진로결정자기효능감, 진로성숙도, 자기통제력, 한국형 인터넷 중독 자가진단검사(K-척도)를 사용하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 12.0 For Windows와 http://www.danielsoper.com/statcalc/calc31.aspx을 이용하여 분석되었다.
이 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 진로결정자기효능감이 인터넷중독에 미치는 영향을 단순회귀분석으로 분석한 결과, 진로결정자기효능감은 인터넷중독에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 진로결정자기효능감이 자기통제력에 미치는 영향을 단순회귀분석으로 분석한 결과, 진로결정자기효능감은 자기통제력에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
셋째, 자기통제력이 인터넷중독에 미치는 영향을 단순회귀분석으로 분석한 결과, 자기통제력은 인터넷중독에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
넷째, 진로결정자기효능감이 인터넷중독에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 자기통제력이 매개효과가 있는지 중다회귀분석 방법으로 분석한 결과 자기통제력은 진로결정자기효능감이 인터넷중독에 미치는 영향을 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다.
본 연구는 청소년의 진로결정자기효능감과 인터넷 중독 그리고 자기통제력의 관련성을 실증하였다는데 의의가 있다. 아울러 진로결정자기효능감이 인터넷 중독에 미치는 직접효과뿐 아니라 자기통제력의 통한 매개효과를 검증함으로써 청소년의 인터넷 중독을 예방하고 중재하기 위한 실증적인 결과를 제시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얻어낸 청소년의 진로결정자기효능감과 자기통제력, 인터넷 중독의 관계는 청소년 내담자의 관점에 근거한 인터넷 중독과정을 이해하는데 있어서 유용한 틀이 될 수 있을 것이다. 또한 상담 현장에서 인터넷 중독 청소년의 현실적 고민과 불안, 스트레스 등을 파악하고 이러한 요인들을 극복할 수 있는 목표지향적인 보호요인을 찾아 그들을 도울 수 있는 상담 개입 전략을 수립함으로써 인터넷 중독 청소년 상담을 효과적으로 하는데 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다. 또한 본 연구의 결론을 통하여 인터넷 중독을 예방하고 치료하는 프로그램 개발을 위한 지침마련에 대한 경험적 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of career decision-making self-efficacy on internet addiction tendency of middle school students and the mediating effect of self-control ability.
In order to achieve the purpose, the following questions were raised:
Is there a mediating effect of self-control ability on the relationship between career decision-making self-efficacy and internet addiction tendency of middle school students?
480 students from two middle schools in a big city and a small town participated in this study. They responded to the career decision-making self-efficacy Scale, Self-Control Scale, and Internet Addiction Scale(K-Scale). The data were analyzed with SPSS 12.0 for windows (see the following web site: http://www.danielsoper.com/statcalc/calc31.aspx).
The results of this study indicated the followings:
First, a standard regression analysis showed that career decision-making self-efficacy has a significant effect on internet addiction tendency of middle school students.
Second, a standard regression analysis showed that career decision-making self-efficacy has a significant effect on self-control ability of middle school students.
Third, a standard regression analysis showed that self-control ability has a significant effect on internet addiction tendency of middle school students.
Fourth, a multiple regression analysis was conducted to examine the role of self-control ability regarding the relationship between career decision-making self-efficacy and internet addiction tendency of middle school students. The result indicated that self-control ability partially mediates the effect of career decision- making self-efficacy and internet addiction tendency of middle school students.
This study has a important significance to verify the relationship of career decision- making self-efficacy, self-control ability, internet addiction tendency of middle school students. In addition, this study showed the empirical result to prevent and control of teenagers' internet addiction as verifying not only directing effect of career decision- making self-efficacy to internet addiction tendency but also mediating effect of self-control ability. In a counseling situation, the result of this study will be a useful view point understanding teenagers' internet addiction. Also The result of this study will be helpful to develop preventing and treating program for teenagers' internet addiction.
