보육교사의 인구사회학적 특성과 직무스트레스가 영유아에 대한 폭력적인 행동에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 = Nursery teacher population sociological characteristics and job stress for infants and a study on the impact of violent behaviour

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 어린이집에서 근무하는 보육교사 137명을 대상으로 보육교사의 인구사회학적 특성이 영유아에 대한 폭력적인 행동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지, 그리고 보육교사의 직무스트레스가 어린이집에서 영유아에 대한 폭력적인 행동에 미치는 영향은 어떠한지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 통해 영유아에 대한 폭력적인 행동의 재발방지를 위한 대안을 모색하는 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였고 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 보육교사의 직무스트레스는 평균 3.25점으로 중앙값 3점 보다 더 높은 수준의 직무스트레스를 가지는 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 보육교사의 폭력적인 행동은 평균 1.40점으로 중앙값 3점에 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타나 다소 낮은 폭력적인 행동을 보이는 것으로 조사되었다.
셋째, 보육교사의 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 폭력적인 행동의 차이를 살펴본 결과는 다음과 같다. 학력 면에서는 전문대졸, 대졸이상, 고졸의 순으로, 담당하는 학급에 따라서는 만3세에서 5세반, 만 2세 이하, 혼합반의 순으로, 영유아학대의 정도에 대한 인지도에 따라서는 ‘중’, ‘상’, ‘하’의 순으로, 평균 근무시간이 길고, 월평균 수입 적다고 인식하는 것이 폭력적인 행동과 관련이 높게 나타났다.
넷째, 보육교사의 직무스트레스 요인이 폭력적인 행동에 미치는 영향력은 원아관련 스트레스가 높을수록 보육교사의 폭력적인 행동에 더 많이 미치는
것으로 나타났다.
이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구가 가지는 함의와 한계점을 제시하면 다음과 같다.
학력이 고졸 보다 전문대졸인 경우가 직무 스트레스를 더 많이 받는 것으로 나타난 결과는 학력 차에 대한 뚜렷한 근무 여건의 차가 나지 않아서 일 것으로 추측된다. 담당하는 원아수와 월 급여, 근무 시간 면에서 별다른 차이가 나지 않고 유치원이나 초등학교 교사에 비해 적은 급여, 근무 시간이 길고 담당 원아가 만3세에서 5세의 다루기 힘든 연령의 원아 수가 많은 점들이 가장 큰 직무 스트레스와 폭력적인 행동 요소로 작용하는 것으로 사료된다. 이는 과도한 직무 스트레스가 폭력적 행동으로 연결될 수 있음을 감안할 때 보육교사의 과다한 업무 즉 담당 원아 수와 근무시간에 의한 직무스트레스를 최소화 시키도록 하는 보조교사의 제도 활성화와 적정 수의 원아와 근무 시간의 적정화에 대한 정책적 대책 마련이 시급함을 시사하였다. 아울러 보육교사의 직무 관련 적정한 보상 시스템과 현실적 처우에 대한 방안 마련이 필요하며 영유아학대의 정도에 대한 인지도를 높일 수 있도록 보육교사에 대한 직무교육과정에 폭력예방교육이 의무적으로 실시되어야 한다.
이와 같은 함의와 함께 본 연구는 부산광역시에 근무하는 보육교사만을 대상으로 한 연구로 이를 일반화하기에는 한계가 있다. 따라서 후속연구에서는 어린이집 뿐 만 아니라 유치원이나 학교 교사들을 포함하는 대상층을 확대하여 연구함으로써 직무스트레스가 폭력적인 행동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 연구할 필요성이 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)
