This study aims to prove the effectiveness of story sharing activity based on children's character stories on young children's pro-social behavior. Therefore, research problems such as below were set up and proven.

Research problem 2. How does the story sharing activity based on children's character stories affect 'interpersonal relation forming ability'?
Research problem 3. How does the story sharing activity based on children's character stories affect 'daycare center adjusting ability'?
20 test subjects at the age of five were selected as an experimental group and another 20 test subject at the age of five were chosen as a controlled group; those children are all from two daycare center located in Sang Rok Gu, Ansan city, Kyung Ki Province and their homogeneity has been confirmed. For the experimental group, story telling activity which utilizes the character stories were carried out twelve times while normal story telling program was applied to the controlled group.
This experiment was conducted from 10th of April. 2014 to 16th of May. 2014 and this program was taken into practice twice a week, 12 times in total. As a measuring tool, Skill Situations Measure[by Mcginnis & Goldsten(1990)] which was modified by Lee Won Young, Park Chan Ok and Noh Young Hee(1993) has used.
The results of both groups were processed with the help of SPSS 18.0 program and t-test was conducted to verify the difference between two groups.
The summary of the study results is following :
First, it is confirmed that story sharing activity based on children's character stories has a positive effect on personal emotional control ability which is the sub factor of pro-social behavior. Through story sharing, children could improve their problem solving ability and this lead to a stronger self esteem and more responsibility which ultimately make them close to others.
Second, story sharing activity based on children's character stories doesn't have any positive effect on interpersonal relation forming ability which is another sub factor of pro-social behavior. That is, there is not meaningful difference in interpersonal relation forming ability after this experiment.
Third, it is proven that story sharing activity based on children's character stories affects positively on daycare center adjusting ability which is also the sub factor of pro-social behavior. In other words, children could adjust well in the daycare center life by controlling their personal emotions and interpersonal relations thanks to the experience of the conflict situation in character stories.
As this study suggests, story sharing activity based on children's character stories are quite effective in the improvement of children's pro-social behavior. Therefore, it is possible that this research could be utilized as a meaningful teaching-learning method related to personality eduction.
