아동의 감성발달을 돕는 가구디자인 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

아동기는 자아를 갖고 사회성을 발달시키는 중요한 시기다. 본 연구는 아동의 정서적 건강에 필수적인 감성적 요소를 찾아 아동에게 미치는 영향을 살펴보고 이를 바탕으로 아동 감성 발달에 도움을 주는 아동용 가구 디자인의 실제 사례를 제안하는 시도다. 먼저 아동과 감성 디자인의 개념에 대한 이론적 고찰은 아동용 가구의 경우 아동의 성장 발육에 맞는 가구가 필요하다는 기능적인 쓰임새뿐 아니라 아동기의 건강한 정서 발달을 위해서는 휴식, 놀이, 학습 등 다양한 활동이 이루어지는 환경적 요인이 고려되어야 한다는 문제를 제기한다. 이어서 아동용 가구의 조건에 대한 분석과 국내·외 사례 검토를 통해 감성디자인을 도입한 아동용 가구 디자인 활용의 필요성을 밝히고, 이를 감성 디자인 콘셉트 도출, Idea sketch, CAD drawing, 2D rendering, modeling 등 일련의 제작 과정을 거쳐 완성된 작품 사례로 제안한다.
본 연구에서 제안한 아동용 가구는 아동기에 필수적인 감각적 자극을 위해 색채를 중심으로 한 시각 효과와 역할 놀이 개념을 결합한 것이 특징이다. 동화 속 모델이나 친숙한 만화 이미지를 단순화한 형태로 표현하여 아동이 상상력을 펼치며 스스로 이야기를 만들고 연출할 수 있도록 했다. 이는 다른 아동과의 역할 설정 및 관계 맺기를 유도하여 사회성을 기르는 한편, 감정 조절 능력과 즐거움, 성취감 등을 심어줌으로써 긍정적 사고를 가진 아동으로 성장하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있는 장치다. 또한 아동이 심리적 안정감을 느낄 수 있도록 색채 심리학을 응용해 컬러를 구성하고 원목 등 친환경 소재를 안전하게 만지고 놀면서 감성적 계발과 공간 지각력을 함께 키울 수 있는 아동용 가구 디자인을 지향했다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Childhood is an important period to achieve self-realization and social development. This study is to find out essential factors which affect to emotional health as well as an attempt to introduce a real example of the furniture design that help children improve emotional quotient (EQ).
First of all, a theoretic contemplation on the emotional design concept of children furniture has aimed to emphasize how much important the functional use of furniture for the physical development and reasons why we should consider their rest, joy and education for the emotional development.
Secondly, this study analyses about the condition of furniture and shows the needs of the effective utilization from those case reviews executed in local and overseas.
Therefore, it will be showing as a completion of emotional design concept through the process of idea sketch, CAD drawing, 2D rendering, modelling.
This furniture which is specially designed from the study has a key feature; the combination of colourful, visual effectiveness and role playing in order to stimulate essential sense throughout the childhood.
This is simply expressed the image of fairy tale and cartoon and also tried to help children stretch imagination and create story and perform. By playing a role set-up and interacting, children are able to inculcate themselves with emotional controls, joy and sense of accomplishments in order to grow together with positive thinking.
Lastly, colour psychology is applied to the design for children’s psychological stability. In addition, this is intended to improve emotional development and space perception ability by touching and feeling hardwood and environmental friendly materials with safety.
