The aim of this study was to systematically reduce the degree of oxidative stress for customers who complain of adverse effects from massage therapies. First of all, in this study the degrees of satisfaction and fatigue after a body massage were investigated. As a study tool a survey for adult women using skin care-specialized services was used. With this survey causal factors were analyzed. This study investigated also the effect of an aloe and button mushroom diet on the reduction of fatigue caused by meridian massage. The target group were women at the age between 30 and 50 who did not use a massage service on a regular basis. As a result of this survey it was found that the survey participants showed a high degree of satisfaction and a higher degree of fatigue right after massage on the following day while a significant difference between the groups was found. As better the health condition was in the most of the time, as higher was the degree of satisfaction they showed. As worse the health conditions were as higher was the degree of fatigue they showed. A significant difference between groups was also shown here. Besides, it was verified that they might show fatigue after massage, which means negative satisfaction, depending on their usual health conditions. As a result it was found necessary to conduct an in-depth research on the degree of perceiving fatigue after a massage and how to reduce this degree of fatigue. Thus, as a measurement to reduce the degree of fatigue after a massage, a clinical research on the effect of an accompanied aloe and button mushroom diet on the reduction of fatigue caused by meridian massage was conducted. Study targets were 32 middle-aged women. The study partici -pants were randomly divided into 4 different groups, a control group with meridian massage, an aloe diet-accompanied meridian massage group (A), a button mushroom diet-accompanied meridian massage group (M), and an aloe+button mushroom diet-accompanied meridian massage group (A+M). In this study a VAS-F(Visual Analogue Scale-Fatigue) was analyzed before and after the study treatment. Changes in the fatigue substances, stress hormones and anti-oxidant enzyme activity through hematologic analyses were compared for this study. Lastly, in this study it was found through a blood homogeneity test before that all the groups were homogeneous groups without statistically significant differences. In the changes of VAS-F before and after the experiment, it was significantly reduced in both Group A and Group M. It indicates further that the diet of aloe and button mushroom may function to reduce the degree of fatigue after a meridian massage. In the change of fatigue substances, the concentration of blood lactic acid was significantly reduced in Group A, Group M and Group A+M, except the control group, according to the measurement period for each group. Also the concentration of blood uric acid was significantly reduced in Group. A which indicates the intake of aloe and button mushroom helps to improve the effect of a massage and to relieve the degree of fatigue at the same time. Regarding the change of stress hormones, the concen -tration of blood cortisol increased in the control group, while it was significantly reduced in Group A. The concentration of catecholamine increased in the control group, while it tended to decrease after each diet and increase after a meridian massage in all experimental groups, which indicates that the accompanied diet of aloe and button mushroom has a positive effect on the concentration of stress hormones after a meridian massage. In the change of anti-oxidant activity, SOD, GPx and BAP significantly increased in all experimental groups. It was found that the accompanied diet of aloe and button mushroom is very effective in defending anti-oxidant radicals because the active oxygen decreased in all experimental groups. Based on this study results with adult women, it was found that the positive change of VAS-F corresponded to the result of an aloe and button mushroom diet-accompanied meridian massage. Therefore, it is considered the results of this experiment with a meridian massage combined with an aloe and button mushroom diet will be used as basic data. The aim is to establish a plan for an effective reduction of the fatigue degree after a meridian massage, since this combination reduces the amount of fatigue substances and stress hormones and improves the anti-oxidant activity better than a meridian massage administrated only.
