This research, along with the increasing interest from growing number of one person households, examined the characteristics and domestic statuses, grasped the demand of share house for the one person house holds. Moreover, using the binary logit model, factors that affect residence intention, and using the structural equation model, the relationship between the one person household potential factors and expected items. On-site investigation, interviews, and surveys were conducted, and the results of the analysis of the perception and demand characteristics of share houses in Korea are as following.
First, because of the increase in one person house holds in Korea, the number of share houses from the end of 2012 to 2013 has been increasing. Share houses, according to the business operator, could be private or public, and these two differ in the types of houses and operation methods. In the private sector, residents are matched so that people with similar hobbies or interests can live together, and various attempts were observed such as planned a public space that reflected the characteristics and life styles of one person households. On the other hand, in the public sector, there were lots of cases where it was attempted to maintain the local community or to enhance changes between generations, local governments buy pre-existing houses, remodel them, and then lease them, which has the economic advantage of utilizing preexisting resources and the residents could reside cheaply. Men expected to be given opportunities for new encounters through share houses, and they were generally active with the interactions among residents. Although they awareness of share houses in Korea is not high in Korea yet, the needs for share houses were shown to be very high and it is being introduced and spread throughout Korea which indicate the necessity to prepare a system to appropriately define, provide information about share houses, and other systems related to the essence of the share houses.

Generally, people that are outgoing, have community life experience, know share houses, and feel the need for share houses have high residence intent, in cases of students, community life experience, and in cases of office workers, types of character were the major factors.
Fourth, the one person household residence potential factors were confirmed to be related to expectations and causal relationship through the structural equation model. The one person household potential factors included residence problems, and obstacles for interactions among neighbors, and the expectations included the expected element and the necessary space in the share houses. In this research, how the each potential factors are affected and how they relate to each other, and the result showed the difficulties regarding one person household residence led to the expectation of share houses. Also, the course models of students and office workers differed in that students needed brief social interactions and community formation centered around their interests that do not require time, office workers needed community gatherings that center around hobbies and specialized place within he share house.
